FRC are ready and raring for this fantastic event. Team 12. Starting at 9:30am tomorrow at Lynnsport and finishing about 24 hours later 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃

On Saturday 5th September 28 members of FRC took part in 8 parkrun events, 2 at Brook Leys, 1 at Colney Lane, 1 at Hafan Pwllheli, 2 at Hunstanton Promenade, 4 at King's Lynn, 1 at Snowden Field, 3 at Swaffham and 14 at Wisbech parkrun
At Colney Lane Ian Milburn ran a course PB of 36:23
and Melanie Pittock ran a course PB of 26:47 at Hunstanton Promenade
At Swaffham, Malcolm Tuff was 1st in 19:16 with an age grading of 84% and
Colin Travi ran a course PB of 26:45
At Wisbech Ben Jimson was 2nd in 18:49, Simon Hamilton 9th in 20:55, Carol Bowett was 5th female in 22:14 and Andrew Harnwell ran an all time PB of 22:41
Trevor Sutherill (along with his daughter who was his guide this week) continues his amazing recovery with yet another personal best of 36:21

On Saturday 29th August, 42 members of FRC ran at 9 different parkrun events, 2 at Amager Fælled, 1 at Kettering, 4 at King's Lynn, 1 at North Waltham, 1 at Oxford, 6 at Sandringham, 2 at Sheringham, 3 at Snowden Field and 22 at Wisbech parkrun.
In King’s Lynn Lewis Saunders was 3rd in 17:56. At Sandringham Aaron Porter ran a course pb of 32:02.
At Snowden Field Dan Tickner was 1st with a course pb of 19:59
At Wisbech Pete Lunt was 2nd in 19:50, Martin Jennings was 3rd in 19:51 and Graham Milham was 4th in 19:55.
Paul Venni ran a parkrun PB of 23:35.
Nicky Jennings was 6th female in 23:57
Hannah Ryan, Jane Greenwood and Carly Read all ran course PB’s of 28:25, 29:28 and 29:36 respectively

On Saturday 22nd August, 36 members of FRC took part in 9 different parkrun events, 2 at Ben’s Yard parkrun, Ely , 2 at Coventry, 2 at Downham Market, 1 at Ferry Meadows, 4 at King's Lynn, 1 at Kraków, 1 at Salisbury, 2 at Sandringham and 21 at Wisbech parkrun.
At Ben’s Yard, Paul Venni ran a course PB of 24:28
At Sandringham, Andy West ran a new course best of 32:48
In Wisbech, Sean Connolly was 8th in 20:47, Ben Jimson 9th in 20:48 and Carol Bowett was 2nd female in 22:43
Ellie Bonner ran a parkrun PB of 28:19 and Jane Greenwood ran a course PB of 30:05
Jane Clarke celebrated her 50th parkrun and apologies to Melissa Milham who celebrated her 50th event last week and was missed off the results 😔

Peterborough Grand Prix Series
August 2026

After five races held in four heatwaves, Fenland RC secured some podium positions in the Peterborough 5K Grand Prix series. Ben Jimson finished 6th overall and second in his age category, after competing in three of the races held in and around Peterborough. His best time was in the first race, in a blistering 16:52, placing him seventh.

Jac Richards put in the best performance among the Club’s ladies. She finished second in her age category, with a best position of 227thin Race 2, and a best time of 24:53. The series rankings are based on a runner’s best position in their best three races in the series of five.

Strong performances also came from Sean Banks who finished 47thoverall and Dann Tickner who ranked at 56th overall. The ladies were led by Jac, with Lesley Prince and Eleanor Bonner being the Club’s next best athletes.

To round off these performances, Fenland RC met at King's Lynn parkrun and gathered together 21 of its members. They raced the three laps of The Walks and saw Lewis Saunders come second in 18:04 and Martin Jennings was third in 18:09, after picking off many of the quicker runners on the final lap.

Strong performances also came from Malcolm Tuff (18:25, 6th) with an age grading of 87%, Simon Hamilton-Bing (20:47, 22nd) and Malcolm De Silva (21:11, 27th) both of whom had a 79% grading. Katie Woodcock led home the ladies in 21:52, 41st followed by Nicky Jennings in 24:52.

Races further afield saw Dan Tickner complete the Run Sutterton 10K in 40:40 and Eleanor Bonner finish it in 1:07:55 (a personal best for the course). Tom Richards ran the Bedford Autodrome half marathon in 1:39:19 and Hannah Sutton took part in the 5K race at the same running festival. She had just graduated from the Club’s “Couch to 5K” programme and crossed the finish line in 35:27.

At Colney Lane, Norwich, Ian Milburn ran a CPB of 38:37
In Downham Market, Colin Travi ran a course best of 26:45
At the very challenging Great Yarmouth North Beach, Carol Bowett was 1st female in 31:27
In King’s Lynn, Lewis Saunders was 3rd in 17:51 and Ollie Martin celebrated his 50th event in a time of 20:54
At Snowden Field, Andrew Mallett and Zoe Thornton both ran course PB’s of 25:51 and 34:22 respectively
In Wisbech, Martin Jennings was 3rd in 19:26, Sean Connolly celebrated his 100th event by coming 10th in 20:56
Malcolm de Silva ran a CPB of 21:22, Katie Woodcock was 4th female in 22:23
