On Sunday we celebrated Pauline’s birthday as she will be 95 years old soon. She is still playing tennis at least three times a week come rain or shine. The club hosted a tournament in the afternoon consisting of two teams in which Pauline’s team won. Followed by a delicious afternoon tea with sandwiches and cakes. Pauline’s family joined in and joined us for tea. The sun came out and it was a lovely friendly fun afternoon.

Yesterday saw the Ladies club champs final between Jane Page and Nicky Giddens. There were some great Tennis and long rallies . The eventual winner was Jane . 👏 Well done to both players 👏

Today saw the club champs. Competing in the mens final was Bruno Maraschin and James Myles which created a great match in which Bruno ending up winning after James had to pull out with an injury. Well done to both players 👏

Great week for all wisbech players performing in Hunstanton Tennis week . Seth and Genia .for winning the open mixed doubles 🏆 Harry Groves. Gary fitzjohn, Ryan Daly in the men's having good performances. Jacqui West , Sue hayes Smith. Also having a good tournament.

Thankyou to out regular helpers on tidy up day. The club appreciates all your help, especially Pauline at 94,raking the car park. And thank you Jan for supplying us with lunch, soup and homemade scones.
