It wasn’t to be against the probable league champions today.
Despite a pretty stellar performance, a couple of mistakes and a strong opposition meant that all 3 points went to the away team with a fairly flattering scoreline.
Sadly it doesn’t look like the league fixtures will be completed after a tough, wet winter for all teams but we’re pleased to have managed 17 of our 18 scheduled games.
For some of our players, that’s the end of their junior football ‘career’. As the lads prepare for their upcoming GCSE’s and leaving school, we’re not sure what the future holds but very much hope to have a team available to play in the U17/18 league next season.
For now, we’re very proud of them all for the commitment, effort and perseverance over the years - it has been a joy to watch them grow and improve.
