Despite the result, what a buzz and to celebrate a Motherwell goal in a Bundesliga stadium was just an incredible feeling.
Freiburg are obviously a level above us but in both legs we were level up until the red cards so we can't be too hard on ourselves although we might have to look at defending balls into the box 👀
Only downside for me was a few Motherwell fans throwing beer onto the home fans or climbing the fence and spitting towards them.
Absolutely pointless and just no need 🤷
The people of Freiburg have been nothing but hospitable and that behaviour can taint the good impression the vast majority of Well fans have made in the city.
Anyway, let's do it all again next year 😉

Tough one v Freiburg but done ourselves proud in the games we've played 👏🏻

I'll take that, especially as it's a bit of a scratch squad with many players missing.
Some decent spells of passing play in the opposition half which was pleasing.
I know HB got bodies in the way but we will need a cutting edge this season.
That defence when HB chucked balls towards our goal gave me the fear as well and how long until Paulson gets lobbed?
Hopefully we've done enough to march on.

Both were a big part (along with Slattery) of a strong Well midfield and who inspired such a great season last season.
Hope they both go on and have a great career that we can say we played our part in.

Sadly, there are seasons where we couldn't give away managers and players but when we do get something good the vultures circle and off they go.
We'll get a few quid admittedly to go back into the club but where do we go from here?
Hopefully we can have some faith in the process that brought him here and not the merry go round of usual suspects.....

If it hadn't been for his little indiscretion at St Mirren, not sure many outside Motherwell would really know who Callum Slattery is but while other names were getting banded about online and in the media this season he largely sat under the radar.
For me, when he didn't play, we didn't play.
He will be a very big loss at Motherwell
I hope nothing but the best for Slatts 💥 💥 💥
