GOOD NEWS for our customers across Lanarkshire... JMB Travel will be joining the Scottish Government's £2 Single Fare Cap scheme for Strathclyde, which starts on Monday 7th September 2026.

The £2 single ticket will apply to all of our routes serving Lanarkshire, as well as our Glasgow Fast services to and from the City Centre.

For customers who travel on more than two buses per day; Day, Week and 4-Week tickets will still be available to purchase at the current price, and this may still be the most cost effective way to travel with us.

We hope this new scheme will lead to more people leaving the car at home and using the bus instead.

Did you know that our Service 41 runs every 30 minutes on Sundays? Whether you're heading out for some weekend shopping, visiting family, or meeting up with friends, getting around has never been more convenient.

All roads have now re-opened and service 42 has returned to normal route.

⚠️Service 42/42A Diversion - Sunday 23rd August 2026 ⚠️

This service will be affected on Sunday due to the North Lanarkshire half marathon.
For the duration of the closure, Holytown, New Stevenson and Jerviston will not be served.
This service will now terminate at Motherwell Asda instead of Wishaw General Hospital and will be diverted from Motherwell Town Centre to Calderbank (please see map below). Service 41 will continue to link Motherwell Town Centre and Wishaw General Hospital for any customers travelling to & from Coatbridge & Airdrie.

⚠️Service X1 - 19:45 departure from Glasgow - Mon 17th Aug⚠️
Due to a road closure the last bus tonight will be unable to serve the bus stop on Cathedral St.
Customers will still be able to board at Buchanan Bus Stn or St James Rd.

We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.

⚠️Service S3 - Diversion at Eddlewood⚠️

Due to resurfacing works on Chriss Avenue, the bus will need to divert via Strathaven Road, then will return to normal route at Newlands Drive and Silvertonhill Avenue. The normal uplift point for pupils boarding at Chriss Avenue will not be available.
