Witham Hockey Club Established in 1924, our Club - a great family club with 5 mens, 3 ladies, mixed, vets and junior hockey.

We have 5 mens teams and 3 ladies teams, 2 vets teams, a mixed team, 2 indoor teams and a thriving Junior section for age 5 -18. Our home fixtures are played at Witham Sports Ground, Spinks Lane, Witham, Essex CM8 1EP. The clubhouse is just a short drive from the astro and has a great, family friendly atmosphere.

An amazing start for Witham with five wins and a draw, for a total of 16 points! 💯 Sure to have set the Fantasy League off with a bang too (never too late to sign up, just an extra challenge being one game behind). We're kicking off our big return to the Clubhouse and the 2026/27 season starting with the Welcome Back Social!

Officially starting at 18:00 this Saturday you'll be sure to find a large number of friendly and memorable faces 💬✨ You can even get some 'practice' and catching up in early if you wish as the Clubhouse will be open all day! The perfect social to start, whether you've just finished a game or want to pop down to reconnect with teammates, come grab a drink, catch up on all the summer gossip, and kick off the season in style with a drink or two as well as some games 🎱🎯🍺🏓

We are back this weekend with our juniors training! Our brilliant coaching team led by Holly & Joe will be there to welcome you and kickstart a new season 💛🖤

We’re so excited to watch our juniors section flourish, develop their skills and love for hockey. Looking forward to seeing everyone there - see you at the pitch (Witham Sports Ground) on Sundays 10-12!

⭐️🏑 FANTASY LEAGUE IS BACK 🏑⭐️

Fantasy is up and running again for this year. Please make sure you’re signing up as soon as possible so your team is ready for the first game!

📆 Deadline is 10am on Saturday 12th September.

They have upgraded to an app which seems to work very smoothly so would highly recommend downloading this for the full experience.

‼️ Some important notes ahead of the upcoming season:

Keepers who also play out on pitch will receive their goals and assists points plus their keeper points. They will not receive their keeper clean sheet points should they have only played on pitch that week. They will also receive 4 points for a penalty save.

Your team will need to include at least 2 of each gender, team total of 6. Please make sure you’re managing your team in this way or receive deductions for breaking the rules.

To clarify on penalty corner assists: this should be whoever won the initial penalty corner until it breaks down then it reverts to whoever passed to the scorer.

💰 Please also remember to pay your entry fee to the club account, this is set at £5 and mark this accordingly so it is clear what the payment is for.
