U15s tour done ✔️ Everyone exhausted ✔️ Everyone happy ✔️

It was a full on weekend of rugby and fun for our U15s as they took on tour to Brean Sands. They took part in a tournament at against some tough opposition, especially the Welsh side (what do they feed them there?!), but we came a very respectable third 👏🏉

It wasn’t all rugby. With a western theme fancy dress on the Saturday after the tournament (yes, they got some strange looks!), they then headed into Weston Super Mare for fun on the pier on the Sunday. And it turns out you’re never too old for a ride in the train!

A huge thank you to tour sponsors LBB for supporting the U15s.

Great work and fantastic to see Witney colours represented! 🖤💙🏉👏🙌

Way to go U8s. Awarded the TREDS award at last Sunday’s Minis Festival at for their age group 🙌🏆

TREDS is the RFU’s values that runs through all rugby from the England Men’s and Roses squads all the way to grassroots minis rugby. It’s not just something we train and play by, they are great values in general and part of the wider life skills rugby gives to young players.

Teamwork
Respect
Enjoyment
Discipline
Sportsmanship

Awesome work U8s 🖤💙🏉

A big day ahead for our U12 Girls! 💙🏉

This weekend they’re travelling to Cinderford RFC to take part in the brand new Mo Hunt Cup, organised by Gloucester RFC and named after co-captain Mo Hunt — a fantastic role model for girls in rugby.

The girls have put in so much work this season and now get another chance to pull on the Witney shirt, test themselves against new teams and represent the club together. Every festival helps them grow — building confidence, friendships and a real love for the game.

Play brave, support each other and most importantly enjoy the day. We’re all behind you — go well girls 👏

Huge congratulations to our U14s who played against Faringdon today in the semi final of the county plate cup in what can only be described as ‘soggy’ conditions.

The boys put in a massive shift and won 50-0! 😍👏🙌

They’ll now be playing at Oxford on county cup final day on March 22nd. 🏆

We’re all super proud of them. 🏉🖤💙

A few shots of our U11s and U12s playing a couple of weeks ago.

Is there anything better than a sunny Sunday morning of rugby?! 🏉 🖤💙☀️

Some great action shots from our U9s as they took on last weekend! 🖤💙🏉

At Under 9s, the game steps up a gear as players begin their journey into contact rugby. It’s an exciting age - full of confidence-building moments, big smiles, and lots of learning.

Our coaches put a huge emphasis on tackling safely, building good habits early, and making sure every child gets the maximum enjoyment from the game. And judging by the effort, teamwork and sportsmanship on display… they’re absolutely smashing it. 🙌

Well done, Witney and Banbury - brilliant rugby from both sides! 👏🙌💪

Another top-class supper club at this week!

🌶 Chicken Tikka 🌶
⭐️ Naan Bread ⭐️
🏉 & Rice 🏉

Every Thursday, we play touch rugby and it’s open to everyone from age 13 up. There’s slso training for our Walking Rugby team (The Wizards), our Academy boys and the Seniors. It’s a busy old night but lots of fun and laughter, not to mention amazing food — Ian and Netty do a fantastic job feeding our club family.

Best club in the county, without a doubt!
🖤🏉💙

Smashed it! 👏🏅🏉🖤💙

First time at rugby festival last weekend and they had a blast! 💥

Their coaches were delighted with the spirit, enthusiasm, and demonstration of the RFU core values:
Teamwork
Respect
Enjoyment
Discipline
Sportsmanship

Big shout out to their adoring fans - parents, families and friends - who were superb cheerleaders and really helped the players get into the spirit of the tournament. 👏🙌🫶
