Girls….fancy something new to do? Give Rugby League a go with the Levellers.
Size, strength, skills or experience are irrelevant. Having fun is essential.
Make new mates, learn new skills, build confidence and bring new skills from other things you do. You’d be amazed how netball, basketball, martial arts, gymnastics and even ballet* can give you that edge in a sport like Rugby League.
*Fact: Wigan Warriors once had pre-season training with a troop of ballet dancers and were amazed at their strength, agility and balance.

Massive thanks to Thames Valley Police Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley for granting us further funding to support our and initiatives.
To share a space at the presentation day with so many wonderful organisations doing amazing things for our communities across Oxon, Berks and Bucks was a real privilege.
If you run a community group that aims to help prevent crime and keep communities safe, or feel inspired to do something positive in your area, check out what funding can be available from the Thames Valley Police community fund:

PS: Ian Ferry’s smug grin is for getting Matthew Barber (Police and Crime Commissioner) to hold our ball, despite him whispering he was a Union man.
PPS: Yes, that is a sprig of rosemary in the buttonhole. The original Levellers wore them so they could recognise each other.
