Our Ladies enjoyed a terrific night of tennis for their Doubles Tournament. Despite the lights going out and some mammalian distractions every match was tight with some great games. Ali and Sarah made a flying start, George and Janet showed strong intentions - the result could have gone to anyone. But Sally and Diane’s solid finish saw them lift the trophy. A great evening of tennis with enjoyable socialising afterwards the Club Cabin.

Fabulous evening’s tennis for our Mixed Doubles Tournament. Great tennis with matches going down to the wire. Alice and Harrison edged out last year’s winners Diane & Nick in the final. Georgina and Clive took the plate by a 10-8 tie-break margin against Rebecca &Jonathan. Après in the new Club Cabin rounded off a perfect evening.

An enjoyable Friday evening of tennis for our Mens’ Doubles tournament. Perfect weather with some great matches. Congratulations to the winners Gareth and Andrew, overcoming Toby and Nick in the final. Youngsters Thomas and Snow overturned their earlier defeat by Jonathan and Matthew to win the plate competition.

On behalf of the Club and our coaching partner Excel Tennis Academy, our chairman presented the annual bursary awards to pupils at Standlake and Stanton Harcourt Primary Schools. The equipment, membership, and coaching bursary allow the awardees to learn and develop their tennis skills. We wish them well on their tennis discovery journey.

The Shirley Kermode Trophy is awarded each year to members who have done exceptional things for the club.

Chris has been an outstanding member quietly doing many things around the club and also being a stalwart of club night. Clive has been inspirational in driving through the Cabin project and together they have put in extraordinary effort during the Summer and Autumn on the final fitting out of the Cabin.

Thank you Chris and Clive; you truly are exceptional Club Members.
