Weekend Results
Another hard fought but tough weekend for Swifts.
The 1s opted to bowl first and, despite keeping things tight early on, allowed SSM to post 244. In reply, lots of starts but no one taking the reins meant swifts didn’t get close, falling 118 short.
In the 2s, Seacole led the way up top with 35, supported by Wood, Smith and Priest. Kimber finishing 13* to post 141-8. In reply, Wroxton’s openers started well, but Horne and Kimber were able to make inroads and put Wroxton under pressure. Ultimately a 26* from Hussain got Wroxton to 142-7 with 9.4 overs to spare.

Weekend Results
A tough weekend for both sides as both fall to heavy defeats.
The 1s lost the toss and bowled first against , who scored quickly and consistently, with Swifts unable to make regular breakthroughs. An unfortunate injury to Rob Cartwright meant fielding with 10 for the final 10 overs, with East Oxford posting 310-5 from their 50 overs. In reply, a poor start was halted somewhat by Seacole and Wood, who were starting to cause the opposition some problems. A few quick wickets put East Oxford back on top, who were then able to pick up the remaining wickets before the heavens opened.
For the 2s, batting first they posted 128 all out with Purdie top scoring on 37*. 3s made light work of the run chase, hitting the target score without losing a wicket.
Best of luck to both sides for the rest of the season, we go again next week!
