Wayne Caffekey has been a stalwart of Witney RFC for years, playing a vital role across all aspects of the club. We’re delighted that he will be taking on the position as 2nd team Head Coach this year. Chairman Andy Merriman recently had the honour of presenting Wayne with the well deserved clubman of the year award.

Another big win for the rugby boys tonight!

Witney smashed 163 runs in their innings and then restricted Minster Lovell to 97.

Plenty of fun had by all and we look forward to next year where Witney get the chance to make it 5 in a row!

Witney Rugby Club is delighted to announce the signing of Ben Reed.

Ben joins the club bringing experience, physicality, and a strong work ethic, adding real quality to the squad. Known for his commitment on and off the field, he is a player who leads by example and shares the values that are at the heart of Witney RFC.

His arrival strengthens an ambitious group that is focused on continuing to build, compete, and develop together. Ben’s experience and competitive mindset will be a valuable asset, both in the changing room and on the pitch.

Another outstanding turnout at Hailey Road as the lads were put through their paces in our fourth pre-season session.

From handling drills and contact work to speed, agility and conditioning, the effort and intensity continue to grow week on week. The hard work being put in now will lay the foundations for the season ahead.

Dave’s funeral will be on the 16th of July, 3pm at North Oxford Crematorium, with the wake following at the Duke of Marlborough at 5pm.
