‼️ A quick update for Sunday ‼️

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Jimmy White will no longer be able to attend or play in the Bob Mason Open. Jimmy is very disappointed and sends his best wishes to everyone taking part!

The tournament is still very much going ahead, and we’re looking forward to a fantastic day of snooker with some amazing players!🏆

Terry and the team have put a huge amount of effort into making this a great tournament, so we’re looking forward to a brilliant day, great snooker and supporting everyone taking part 👏🏻

Jimmy will be there for the JWSL U21’s tournament the following Sunday, so there’s plenty to look forward to!

🎱 The Bob Mason Open -This Sunday 23rd August!

The Bob Mason Open returns for its third year, with 32 players battling it out in memory of Bob!

This year’s line up includes some fantastic names, including Wayne Townsend, Mike Finn, Billy Castle, Dharminder Lilly and, of course, legend Jimmy White, who has also indicated he’ll be playing!

With plenty of other top amateurs and local club players involved, it promises to be a brilliant day of snooker.

⚠️ Due to last-minute withdrawals, we currently have just TWO spaces available, sold on a first come, first served basis.

SNOOKER:

Last weeks Saturday Snooker Handicap, played on 15th August was won by Darren Weetman with Jamie Wright coming runner up! 👏🏻

This weeks high break prize was won by Darren Weetman (56) 👏🏻

The next Saturday Snooker Handicap will be on 22nd August starting at 11am. Registration from 10am and practice from 10am to 10.50am.

We also now have a Monday night Snooker Flyer which is a 16 person tournament. The second of these events was played on 10th August and was won by Jamie Wright, with Eric Paget coming runner up. We have not got a Cuescore record for this tournament as it was run manually but we'll endeavour to have Monday night tournaments on Cuescore from and including 24th August. The one on the 17th was played yesterday and updates regarding that tournament will be on next weeks update.

POOL:

Last weeks Pool Flyer played on 12th August was won by Granville Fowle, with Phil Mariott coming runner up! 👏🏻

The plate was won by Jobe Owens, with Mark Owen coming runner up! 👏🏻

The next Pool Flyer will be on Wednesday 19th August starting at 7.30pm with registration from 5.30pm.

We're pleased that the change to blackball rules seems to have been broadly welcomed by local players and it’s good to see numbers heading upwards.
