🎱 JWSL JOINS THE BYFLEET LEAGUE! 🎱

We’re delighted to announce that Jimmy White’s Sports Lounge has entered a team into this season’s Byfleet League, a competition with a proud history dating back to 1946.

And we’re even more excited that our very own Jimmy White MBE has joined the team and will play whenever his busy schedule allows! 🙌🏻

League Chairman Kelvin Jones said:

“I am delighted that Jimmy not only owns a club in the area, but may now be playing in our league. What a lot we have to look forward to.”

The league is played on Thursday evenings, with spectators welcome.

We can’t wait to get started! 🎱👏🏻

Jimmy regularly takes part in our JWSL Handicaps, taking on some of our best club and amateur players with 60+ point starts.

Fresh from qualifying for the International Championship this October, Jimmy joined us for Saturday’s Handicap — and what a final it was!

Jimmy faced George McCauley, who took him all the way to a deciding frame and put in a fantastic performance. 👏

A huge well done to George for giving such a great account of himself, and congratulations to Jimmy! 🎱🔥

🎱 POOL FLYER RESULTS & IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🎱

Congratulations to Phil Marriott & Granville Fowle on reaching last week’s Pool Flyer final, with Granville taking the win! 🏆

Congratulations also to Will McSkimming, who won the Plate! 👏

⚠️ NEW TRIAL HANDICAP

We’re delighted to see so many great players entering our Pool Flyers. To help ensure everyone has a fair chance of winning, we’ve introduced a limited trial handicap, similar to our Snooker Handicaps.

Following consultation and agreement with the players:

🔹 Phil Marriott: starts each match on -2 racks/frames
🔹 Granville Fowle: starts each match on -1 rack/frame

For example, in a race to 3, Phil must win 5 frames and Granville 4, while their opponent needs 3.

The handicap will be kept under constant review and may be amended or removed if necessary (but not during a tournament).

Opponents may choose to play off scratch against Phil or Granville if they wish, but no player should feel pressured to do so.

This is currently a limited trial and applies only to Phil and Granville. We welcome feedback, but please direct any comments regarding individual handicaps privately to Tournament Director Terry, rather than discussing them publicly at the venue or online.
