Last year we took part in .cancer London where we raised over £1500 for a local hospice, this year we are heading back and aiming to raise some funds for we are heading back with 6 teams this year and I know they are going to smash it. If you would like to donate then either click the link in our bio if you’re reading this on insta or click the link in the comments on FB. AT SOME POINT, YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE.
We don't choose where we pop out.
We don't choose our upbringing.
We don't choose illness, injury or some of the s**t life throws at us.
And pretending everybody has exactly the same opportunities is bo****ks.
But...
At some point we all have to decide what happens next.
We choose what we consume — physically and mentally.
We choose whether movement has a place in our lives.
We choose whether we keep repeating old patterns.
We choose whether one bad decision becomes fifty.
And sometimes we choose to say:
F**k it, this stops with me. I'm going to do something different.
That doesn't mean making perfect choices all the time.
F**k that, life is to short and sometimes the not so great choice is so much more fun.
Sometimes the takeaway wins.
Sometimes the sofa wins.
Sometimes you drink the rum.
Sometimes you're still looking at absolute bo****ks on your phone at midnight despite knowing perfectly well you should be asleep.
Welcome to being a human being.
The aim isn't perfection.
It's getting the better choice to win more often than the s**t one.
This week's blog is about personal responsibility without all the usual motivational-poster bo****ks you can find on socials with a background of a waterfall or someone eating a bloody salas.
Your past matters.
Your circumstances matter.
Your starting point matters.
But they don't necessarily get the final fu***ng vote.

SEPTEMBER IS THE NEW JANUARY.
Please don't f**k it up.
New research says 44% of Brits see September as an ideal time to restart healthy habits.
If you think about it, it does make sense.
Summer holidays are finishing.
Kids are back at school.
Work gets back into a rhythm.
So quite a few of us think:
Right. Time to get back into it.
Brilliant.
But don't make the same mistake we make every January.
You don't need:
Gym 6 days a week
10,000 steps without fail
No alcohol
No chocolate
A detox
Seven supplements
A completely new diet
To become an entirely different human by next Tuesday
You need a rhythm.
Train two or three times.
Walk.
Get your meals vaguely organised again.
Eat some decent food.
Sort your sleep out.
Then keep fu***ng doing it.
Because three workouts aren't a failed five-workout week.
One takeaway doesn't ruin your diet.
Missing Tuesday doesn't mean you need to start again next Monday.
And having enjoyed your summer doesn't mean September needs to be a punishment.
This week's blog:
SEPTEMBER IS THE NEW JANUARY. PLEASE DON'T F**K IT UP.
Use September as an opportunity to get back into a routine.
Just don't turn it into another ridiculous transformation challenge that you've f**ked off by October.
Like you did at the beginning of the year.

September does something weird to people.
The kids go back to school.
Holidays finish.
Work gets back to normal.
And suddenly:
RIGHT. TIME TO SORT MY F**KING LIFE OUT.
Monday:
Gym 5x a week.
10,000 steps.
No booze.
No chocolate.
Meal prep.
Protein target.
Eight hours' sleep.
Three litres of water.
Running.
Yoga.
Meditation.
Probably a fu***ng gratitude journal.
Two weeks later...
Missed Tuesday's workout.
Ate cake Wednesday.
Went to the pub Friday.
"Bo****ks. F**ked it."
Apparently 44% of Brits now see September as an ideal time to restart their healthy habits.
Maybe we need to stop treating a "reset" as a complete personality transplant.
You don't need to change everything.
You just need to get a few things moving in the right direction again.

We've healthified (Is that a word?) everything.
Water needs electrolytes.
Coffee needs protein.
Chocolate needs adaptogens.
B**r needs vitamins.
Jam needs collagen.
And now the ice-cream industry is looking at protein, vitamins and minerals because apparently an ice cream can no longer simply contribute to having some joy in our lives.
But what is the message Pete underneath all of this.
Your diet needs to provide enough protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals and energy.
Every individual thing you eat doesn't.
If most of what you eat supports your health, there's room for foods whose only function is:
"That tastes fu***ng lovely."
No protein.
No adaptogens.
No collagen.
No gut-health claim.
Just a biscuit.
Or chocolate.
Or ice cream.
Because eating is about more than delivering nutrients into your body.
And turning every mouthful into another opportunity for "optimisation" isn't necessarily making us healthier.

Food isn't allowed to just exist anymore.
Everything needs a fu***ng job.
Coffee needs protein.
Water needs electrolytes.
Chocolate needs adaptogens.
Drinks need mushrooms.
Snacks need collagen.
Ice cream needs vitamins.
And apparently even b**r is now expected to contribute towards our hydration, recovery and general wellbeing, if only they had done this to cheap c***r back in the 90s.
Wouldn’t it be nice if some food could just taste nice?
What if your overall diet was nutritious, varied and appropriate for what you're trying to achieve.....but every individual thing you ate didn't have to provide a measurable health benefit?
We have hopefully finally reached total peak
FUNCTIONAL F**KING EVERYTHING.
