It feels good to be back!

Our first pre season fixture sees us take on Shaffle FC, a new club coming into the Wolverhampton Sunday League.
Looking forward to a good test and opportunity for minutes in the legs as we build up to the season start on September 6th

Your AFC Goldthorne Captain and vice captains for the 2026/27 season 👊🏻💯

Bazza will captain the side for this season, after taking the armband in December last season, bring an insane amount of experience and leadership both on and off the pitch, he's been a vital part of the club moving forward 👊🏻

Ben will be vice captain, alot of experience even at a young age, knows the game, leads by example and is a huge credit to club since his arrival in December 👌🏻

Reece is also vice captain, how much this lad has matured over the past year, especially after returning to the club and being a massive player is nothing short of incredible, first wore the armband at Shrewsbury Town and shows the qualities the club value in a leader 💪🏻

As we prepare for the 2026/27 season, these photos take a look back in celebration.

This upcoming season will be our 6th season under the AFC Goldthorne name, after being Coseley FC for 2 years previously.

These photo's show just how far the club has come since Afc Goldthorne was created in 2021. Players have come and gone and some even returning back to the club over the past season, but every player has played a part in becoming the club we are today.
In our first season in 2021/22, we finished 8th in the Beacon League, and were finalists, losing to Wombourne in the cup final. The following year, defeated semi finalists against winners Bloxwich. Fast forward to the 2024/25, we won the cup, in an amazing game against Sedgley White Lions, the clubs first ever trophy.
2025/26 season, a brand new chapter, Wolverhampton Sunday League, Sunday morning football, a lot of adjusting, new squad, new league, a big challenge which ended on a high of 2 wins out of 3 to finish the season. We were also very fortunate, to play at Shrewsbury Town FC, against Tettenhall Athletic in their charity cup, an opportunity forever to be remembered.

In 4 of our own charity events, we've raised just under £3500 for various charities and raising awareness for Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Help for Heroes and Tough Enough To Care, a mental health charity.

We are very proud of the legacy we're building and are looking forward to what the future holds for this club.
