Sometimes in life, we can come to a point when something extreme from the external has taken another course. You couldn't do anything about that which was not anticipated, even if it was known to arrive. We begin to feel, what if life was different? What if I had done something differently at the time or before this time?

Alongside what you may have done things differently, we also focus on what others should have or could have done differently. But in reality, this, which was not anticipated, has occurred. It is the truth. It has changed your life drastically.

When you seen your future differently, differently to how you planned it to be. How your life would have changed for you, for the better, or how your life would have been so much easier for you.

These thoughts of how you could have done things differently or how another person could have thought or done things differently, these thoughts of how you wanted your life to be better, Are now all a dream if it hasn't come true.

Now, if we remain in that dream, our ability to change our reality remains close to impossible to change. We want what we have lost. Who doesn't? The imagined lifestyle hasn't come true, and now our mind can naturally get stuck in the zone and find it hard to move on.

For example, what we have, we don't see, and what we don't have will always revolve around us. What we never attain will always mean so much to us. What we already have will always mean nothing to us, and what we gain will become nothing to us over time.

The only way to come of this stuck-in-quicksand kind of life is to see life as it is, not how life should have been like, not how life should be like, not how I should have done something differently or, and most importantly, someone else had done something differentlyβ€”life as it is.

As it is, meaning where you are now no matter what has happened or may happen because that is not your reality, you know, is your reality your present is your reality. When we attain this momentum on working in the now and accepting where we are today, seeing our reality as it is and not how we feel it should be. Now you have enabled yourself.

What is anxiety

Our anxiety is a mechanism that protects us, this is hard wired within us, and a great tool when it comes to our survival.

When we are presented with a threat this triggers a stress response and prepares us to fight or flight. The blood in our body will move to where it’s needed most.

This would be in our legs if we had to run, leaving the brain with less blood. All other functions that are not needed would slow down, e.g. digestion, using the washroom.

A rush of energy in a hyper mode, dizziness, tingling skin, raising hair on the body, ready for a fight or a flight a good run.

Sometimes there is no threat, and the threat only exists within our mind withing our thinking and thoughts.

We are very powerful as we can trigger our own anxiety just by how we think about a situation or an event. This could be from the Past, the present or the near future.
