The end of Tough Guy® Global Ltd.

Written by founder and once driving force, Mr Mouse, ably assisted by my close Personal Assistant, Lucie Melling, whose strength of commitment has kept hope alive and weathered the direct contact of stress brought by being the person to daily open the internet together with Verity, who has so very ably been another pillar of strength on all of my physical commitments. Together with William have accepted responsibility of Directorship of Tough Guy® Global Ltd, when it was thought that I may not awake from constant serious blackouts/strokes.

In my diary is written on their births, I see myself reborn, they will be everything that I have ever wanted to be, they will never know anger, greed, hate plus other weakness failings.

This pandemic lockdown with total closure rules brought disaster to Tough Guy® event March 29th 2020, just 13 days before, we were then forced to tell thousands booked and paid participants from 17 different nations to cancel all flights and hotels.

We were shocked and personally indebted. We had spent their entry fees on the organisation in readiness to receive them, listed as insurance, medics, medals, course prep and maintenance, admin supplies etc.

We promised a postponement date 4 times, plus opening to others to join for that prospective date, again the Government strict rules cancelled these dates stretching on through 2020 and into 2021, nearly a year and a half close down, no income whatsoever, no future bookings, which is how the business works. All maintenance staff laid off, all volunteers not allowed to congregate.

Thus this world renowned toughest test of mental and physical endurance, a virtual pilgrimage site for millions worldwide amidst hundreds of pirate copy events. In August 2021 with the pandemic lockdown now relieving, we have inspected the course to find that wild nature has advanced at rapid pace, rendering this unique obstacle course unusable without massive input of replacement. This destruction by swarms of millions of wood eating beetles.

The singular blame to all of this is without doubt proven to be the Government strict rules of total closure of mass people events, we believe we have a claim against the Government to replace the losses, especially the entry fees paid by devoted participants.

My Personal Fateful Endurance
The stress of March 2020 brought to me every few days collapse of my once boundless energy, both physical and mental strength with blackouts which were trips into that inner world of being unconscious, being able to hear the people around me but unable to move from prostrate in bed, shouting ‘I am still here, I can hear you’. That world I know is the space between life and death, so easy to let go the grasp on the people around me to the world of ultimate peace, called death.

In June 2021 The Times published the details symptoms of Long Covid, thus I could relate to most of these symptoms which I have endured through theses months. I had written in detail Feb 2020 my infection of the virus, this Long Covid was the obvious result.

I have had a number of fleeting thoughts considered non return from blackouts to free everyone of the burden of my uselessness to give my energetic faith and friendliness to the millions of followers. I had in 1956 experienced a life changing time where vowed to never feel self pity, su***de would leave behind a terrible mess for those who mattered.

I give thanks for the inner strength to write this final chapter of Tough Guy® Global Ltd, whilst we search for a financially capable partner to bring happiness to this historic place of worship, for the millions of people who say “thank you Mr Mouse, my visit and experience to you has been a significant changing period of my life to share and play my part in making this world a better place for the future generations.”.
