InPlay Gaming UK and Inpower Academy CIC had a day out on Wednesday for a staff day at Cannon Raceway in Coseley, Where they had a race on the Go Kartz as well as giving the Great Brummy Escape (Escape Room Based on Peaky Blinders). This Helped the staff work together to help each other get out of the room (They Failed). Well done to the guys and thank you to Daryl Chambers for allowing us to go out and do this experience.

Over Christmas with InPlay we hosted our first HAF Program funded by and where we provided next generation consoles as well as air glasses for the kids to use to play Fortnite on thank you guys for the opportunity

What a great opportunity we have had we were selected from a chosen few to be able to get early access and play 8 before it’s January release thank you for granting us access to do so!

Some great news for those who live in the UK a new bill has now passed its final parliamentary debate which means its now ready to become a law.

This bill will now make the UK ranked number 1 for the safest place in the world for using online social medias and other online services.

It will make it a lot more safer for children to be online by making sure companies are held accountable for what is seen on there apps ensuring they follow age restrictions. While making it a lot safer for children and young people it also aims to give adults more control and flexibility of what they see while browsing online.

What a way to end our summer HAF programme. This week was all based around anime with a huge focus on Dragon Ball Z.

We had a lot of different activities from gaming, arts and crafts. Dragon ball Z dodgeball, T-Shirt making and also as today was our last day of the summer we took a trip to

We would like to say a massive well done to all the young people who have attended over the summer, you have all been incredible, respectful to each other and staff, polite and already are young role models. With some very talented gamers also on their chosen games.

Also a huge thank you to all the staff who were involved in helping make sure everything ran smooth and always going that extra mile to make sure things were fun and enjoyable for all the young people. Special mention to the staff at Wolverhampton, the staff & also the community hub for allowing us to have a space to run from.

That’s an end to our week 3, and what a action packed week we had. Our theme for the week was Pokémon.

We had a range of different activities as always gaming, arts and crafts, different physical activities. We also seen the introduction to having a face paint session. However one thing that was superb was the chance to play Pokémon go which is a mobile game but it attaches the factor of having to walk around to play the game to its best ability which is a huge positive for us as we love gaming and being active and healthy is key!

Huge shout out to all the team for always going that extra mile and making sure what we run is to the best of our capabilities to make sure all the young people have an enjoyable time.

What a way to start the week! Today was a great day, we had the chance to introduce a whole new range of activities. This week is highly influenced around Pokémon and everything it has to offer.

As there are many Pokémon who need to be recharged and refuelled after battle, there are many of them who use mediation to do so. One thing we like to try push is emotion regulation while gaming and everyday life so the introduction to meditation and yoga helped us all calm our mind and body today.

We also managed to get onto some arts and crafts where we all had our very own change to crest our own Poké balls and then we ran a throwing competition!

That marks the end of week 2 and what a enjoyable week it has been! Super hero themed which every young person who attended this week are natural super hero’s in the making!

We went on a whole journey together learning at the start of the week what it takes to be a super hero not only fictional but in real life and the real values that super hero’s have, EG; standing up to bullies, caring, respecting others and more.

We all created our own super hero through the week by designing our own mask, cape and super hero identity.

Also as always we have ran our regular gaming sessions in the morning, followed by arts and crafts, board games and a range of different physical activities!

What a great day we have had today carrying on with our super hero theme. All young people managed to carry on with there creating their own super hero.

So far this week we have spoke around values and what it takes to be a real life super hero. Today we continued on there own super hero identity with making a custom cape.

Tomorrow is our final day of the week where most of our competitions of the week will take place and be announced!

It’s been another great day with a whole range of activities. Carrying on with our super hero/villain week.

We started the day with some dodgeball then as always we headed over to the gaming arena for some gaming. Our afternoon we all had the chance to create our own super hero mask.
