Results are the bottom line but credit must be given to the players who kept their bearing as high in defeat as they do when the chips are up.

Admin has been chewed out for naming the series Star of the Week so…

This week’s “Did you really do that?” Award goes to Cam Brittain.

Cam has been away for the last few Seasons studying (or so he says) at Exetaah. He is a talented and versatile player who this Season has been pulling strings at 10, and is comfortable at Scrum Half and FB, too.

Now, the reason for the Award? Cam did manage to bring himself to last weekend’s fixture against Bridgnorth Bulls. He didn’t quite manage though to bring his rugby boots 🤦‍♂️

This week’s Star of the Week is none other than the inimitable Oscar Lawson.

Oscar has been awarded several accolades in successive Seasons by his peers and his coaches which is just-rewards for his efforts on-field and his manner about the Clubhouse. There’s a lot of love and high regard for Oscar across the Section.

The evidence of just how committed Oscar is has come as something of a surprise to us. It was demonstrated when he arrived not one, but two hours early for Meet Time last weekend!! 👏

(A side note and surely of no importance to the matter is that, on inspection of his Spond App, it emerged that Oscar’s time zone had been set two hours early 🫠)
