Old Wulfrunians Hockey Club

Busy weekend for Old Wulfs for all clubs, the 1sts with a 2-0 win against finchfield, pictured as well with well deserved pints.
Elsewhere, the 2nds struggled with a 5-2 loss against Cannock, the 3rds with an impressive 3-1 win Vs North Staffs and the 4ths with a draw against Litchfield.

Not many games now until the end of the season but training is still on Tuesdays 7.30 pm at Wolverhampton Grammar School. See you all there

The winter break is finally over and we are back baby!
1s with a 1-0 win, 2s with a 2-0 win, 3s with an 8-0 win!! And 4s with a 4-0 loss.

Great to be back on the pitch and the fun don't stop - the 1st team have another match today!

A huge congratulations to our very own Ray Jeff who was awarded the Veteran of the year award from the Wolverhampton Sports Advisory Council, given to him by the Mayor of Wolverhampton. Thank you Ray for all that you've contributed over the many years and we are all very proud!

The Men's 65s took gold at the Masters World Cup in Cape Take after a thrilling final with the Netherlands. England led 2-1 for much of the game thanks to goals from very own Billy Jawanda, and Rod Naughalty but Netherlands equalised at the death. However the team shook off this disappointment to win the shootout with only one goal getting past England's Keeper.

Over the whole tournament Billy managed to bag an impressive 8 goals. Congratulations Billy on a successful tournament and may that form continue!!

GW 4 and 1sts and 2nds both with wins over 2s and 3s
2-1 for the 1sts and 7-4 for the 2nds!
Tougher results for the 3rds and 4ths as they both come unstuck against 3s and 4s.

No match next week as it's the international break (half term for schools but gotta sound fancy don't we!) but training will still be on Tuesday @ 7.30pm. hope to see you all there!

7 is heaven for our 3rds in GW2, winning 7-2 vs. 4ths. A huge result and a great first win of the season for them.

Elsewhere, 1st Team fought valiantly but ultimately succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to 3rd, our 2nds lost 1-0 to Market Drayton 1sts thanks to a contentious 'ghost' goal (but we're not bitter and totally over it...) and our 4th team lost 7-0 to 8ths.

Plenty to work on in training (Tuesdays 7.30pm at if you don't already know / want to come down and join!) - hopefully see you all there!
