OK, I couldn't not post this... because I'm absolutely over the moon with this progress 😭 considering I felt tired today and didn't feel like training.
Is it a huge achievement ? Not to some no...
But for someone who's had to start from scratch again due to having a lower back condition, it really is a big deal 😍
Just 2 weeks ago I was scared to lift above 20kg for thrusts!
This is a reminder to you all, to be proud of every milestone and pb you hit, you don't need to compare it to someone else and think we'll it's not great because 'sandra' can lift more.
This is also a little reminder to not judge when people are lifting low weights / sticking to bodyweight exercises you have no idea why someone may not be able to push heavier, and no it certainly isn't all about ' go hard or go home '
You do you , and please listen to your body if you feel pain and niggles , don't push through exercises just because you feel someone is watching and you feel embarrassed to drop the weight!

I used to be able to just strike a pose, now I'm just silly 🙃🤣 we did however get there in the end.

Today, I noticed I was being pretty negative about my body, picking myself apart. Comparing where I was at the start of 2023 before my life started to fall apart to where I'm at now, which is definitely not my best self... I will happily admit this as I am always honest and open here :)
Whenever i have a day or phase like this, where I focus on what I currently do not love about my physique, I challenge my mind and flip it around, and instead of continuing to think this way, I remind myself what my body is doing for me...
You see, we often pick at things we dislike, cellulite, extra fat we are carrying on our arms, on our stomach but we don't often praise our bodies for what it is doing for us on a daily basis...
Isn't it amazing that you can go to the gym and lift weights? Isn't it amazing how our bodies work, the daily functions it does for us? We have so much to thank our bodies for... Not everyone can afford a gym membership, not everyone can lift weights or even walk for that matter! So instead of tarnishing our bodies for the things we currently dislike, try flipping the switch and just remember how incredible our bodies actually are 💜💜
