A huge boost for the 1st XI as Max Lee returns to the side, adding real strength for the trip to Brewood 💪
The 2nd XI are bolstered with Haneesh Chauhan coming into the side, alongside Dylan Cleaver continuing his return with bat and ball, giving the team excellent all-round depth 🔥
In the 3rd XI, it’s great to see Chris Burns back involved, while Andy Harvey and Joe Gowen earn promotion after their hundreds last week – a well-deserved reward 👏

🏏 Weekend Round-Up
Another busy weekend for Beacon CC with mixed results across the sides, but plenty of strong individual performances to highlight.

1st XI ❌
A tough day for the 1st XI saw them fall short against Fordhouses.
A standout bowling performance from J Thomas (5-31), well supported by M Cartwright (2-44), helped bowl Fordhouses out for 231. However, Beacon were unable to chase the total, finishing on 115 all out, with B Lester (27*) and T Elwell (18) the main contributors.
2nd XI ✅
A dominant all-round display from the 2nd XI.
Beacon set the tone batting first, posting 189 all out, with E Steventon (68) leading the way alongside A Hartshorn (35).
The bowlers then took control, dismissing Brewood for 112 all out, with M Brookes (4-20) and J Stanier (3-24) starring in a commanding win.
3rd XI ⚪ (Abandoned)
The 3rd XI match was unfortunately abandoned due to injury.
Prior to the stoppage, Beacon had posted a solid 206 all out, with M Green (41) and H Chauhan (40) top scoring, and had Walsall at 97/2.
4th XI ✅
A remarkable result for the 4th XI in a high-scoring thriller.
Chasing an imposing 326/4, Beacon completed an incredible win, reaching 327/6.
A stunning partnership between A Harvey (140*) and J Gowen (118) sealed an unforgettable victory.

Our ladies softball team kicked off their season last night with a 30 run win away at neighbours Himley.
A lovely sunny evening and as always with the ladies a game played in great spirit.

🏏 Weekend Round-Up
A fantastic weekend for Beacon CC with a clean sweep across all four sides, showcasing strength in depth and some standout individual performances.
1st XI ✅
The 1st XI secured a solid win chasing down Tamworth’s 201 all out, finishing on 207/4.
Key contributions came from J Cartwright (67) and D Green (39), while earlier D Green (3-26) and S Blews (2-45) did the damage with the ball to set up the victory.
2nd XI ✅
Another impressive performance saw the 2nd XI overcome Walsall’s 254 all out, reaching 255/6.
A match-winning partnership between A Hartshorn (76) and R Fildes (69) anchored the chase, while M Brookes (4-46) led the bowling effort.
3rd XI ✅
The 3rd XI continued the winning theme with a strong chase, reaching 236/4 against Elford’s 232/7.
The highlight was a superb century from Ajay Ralh (112), well supported by A Shaw (38), after earlier efforts from L Singh (4-34).
4th XI ✅
The 4th XI also claimed victory, chasing 131 to finish 133/8 against Tamworth.
The bowlers set the platform with B Soundararajan (4-16) and M Jewkes (2-14) before the batters held their nerve in a tight finish.
