In the old world path to glory Jared's High elves found themselves being raided by their old enemy, the dark elves led by Jay.
Jay has provided a battle report on the battle.

"Both armies teased eachother to charge while spells and arrows inflicted little to no casualties. The high elves got a few lucky shots on one dark one unit

After another exchange of spells and arrows only a few casualties were taken from both sides as the armies crept to the centre.

A dark rider unit charges into the high elf archers and get mowed down by arrows before they got there!

The high elves lion chariots and their leader on unicorn both charged headlong into the stoic dark elf warriors who manage to hold their ground allowing the dark elf cold ones and kharibdyss charged into a chariots flank and ripped it to shreds just before the kharibdyss could close it's maw!

Meanwhile the dark elf beastlord on manticore charged the archers who slew his minions and they suffered great losses!

After losing a chariot the high elves great eagle rider charged the dark elf sorceress and ran her down while the beastlord and his mount murdered the rest of the bowmen and turned to face the great eagle ready to charge!

The dark elf chariot took it's chance and mowed down the final lion chariot while the kharibdyss turned to face the unicorn rider with a vicious hunger after it's last meal was taken away from it.

Meanwhile the high elves reinforced with archers on the dark elf flank!

The beastlord charges at the great eagle rider and they lock swords and end in a stalemate with the beastlord inflicting great wounds while only suffering one!

The kharibdyss and 1 sole surviving dark rider are locked in combat with the unicorn rider and the great behemoth proved to be too much and slayed the beautiful creature with a foul crunch as the beastlord and chariot tried to mop up who was left but as hard as they tried one unit of archers managed to escape their clutches"

Jared has also provided a reason as to why the result was what it was.
"The dark elves lunch a surprise on the high elves beach the high elevesa just feed their lions so they were lethargic and didn't perform to full potential the dark elves took pelts and slaves while the high elves performed a withdraw"

So yesterday, we held the finals to season 2 of the WVLF league!!!!
After a battle of the minds, Chris took the final match of the season.

In the old world's path to glory Elliots Dwarfen Slayer host took on Logans chaos warband. And it seems the creative juices are starting to flow as Logan put together this battle report on the game.

"So the mighty nurgle warband met with a dwarven slayer hunting party, at first there was a slow approach to one another, Eila continued to be unfavoured by papa nurgle and once again became stupid within the March towards one another, Dokkr still gained favour with an increase in weapon skill and strength; the initial clash between the dawi and warriors of chaos; ended in the chaos warriors taking the lead with a charge from the knights and chariot taking down a fair chunk of slayers on the left flank but on the right flank the dwarves managed to butcher some chaos warhounds before getting onto the warriors using their small formations to take advantage of the gap left by the dogs to wrap themselves around the flank of the warriors, due to Eila's curse from the gods her marauder unit had go hang around the back. In the middle, after taking the left flank the chariot noticed some dwarves hiding in a forest and charged, the trees causing the chariot to slow down and not hit very hard into the unit, but the dragged out fight led to the chariot dying but leaving two dwarves alive, who were quickly run down by the remaining four knights, in the meantime the dwarves continued to push round and smash through the warriors, leaving Dőkkr to get slain on the battlefield before getting ready to take down the marauders who had managed to stumble forward into a battle line to face the coming threat, leading to the final show down, the dwarf general, 5 slayers facing Eila the warriors general; 10 marauder and 4 chaos knights, the forces remaining wanted to get straight into the fight, no more tricks left to play, the marauders and dwarves clashed, the blessings of nurgle assisting the staying power of the marauders making them be able to take a hit and give a hit, the dwarves however still continued to chop through the marauders until the brave 4 chaos knights came charging in turning the tide of the last struggle until the rest of the dwarves had fallen leading to a one on one between the dwarves slayers general and Eila the unfavoured, a quick dance of blades and the slayer falls .... but in a surprise turn of events even in death a slayer refuses to let its mark get away, a blade pierces through the unfavoured making her fall onto the battlefield opposite the dawi general, leaving the marauders and knights to scavenge the dead, recover the wounded and to show signs of worship to the one true God"

It's almost time for this years UK Games Expo!
A few of the WVLF lot are heading there over the weekend to check everything out this year and get stuck in with everything thats going on.
Josh is volunteering to help out in Hall 4 so please make sure he's hydrated, dont want him passing out and missing all the fun.

The second phase of the old world path to glory campaign kicks off.

Here Mike's ogres look to get some Cathay takeaway for the trip home. Not ones to take this lightly Henry's Grand Cathay use there newly acquired cannon and fire rocket battery to see off the ogres own attempt at heavy artillery of the iron blaster. As well as a well executed flank sweep by the jade lancers was able to secure Henry the victory.
