Mick Tonks won the Wednesday open from peg 37 with 19.00. Just enough to beat Steve Preece on peg 32 with 18.08.

On the pike fishing front, some decent fish coming to smelt or Mackerel deadbaits. Lodge Bay or the hotel board the most consistent areas.

We are now open for pike fishing with both bank and boat fishing available.

A tough start to our pike season with the lure match yesterday.

Congratulations to Jamie Potts who won the match fishing on his own with a fish of 9.10.
Otherwise it was a challenging day with fish proving difficult on lures.

In contrast to the pike, the perch fishing has been good with some quality fish falling to small lures.

Our pike season proper starts next Wednesday 1st October.
