Tamashii School of Shotokan Karate would like to extend its warmest congratulations to student Lucy Banks, our latest member to achieve her 1st Dan black belt diploma from the JKS (Japan Karate Shotorenmei). 💥🥋💥

Lucy has always shown great commitment to the sport since she joined the club in 2018. She even continued training online through virtual Zoom lessons when the COVID pandemic interrupted her classes.

Chief instructor Kelvin Rayner, pictured with Lucy, said: "Lucy has trained extremely hard, and it has all paid off - well done!"

Lucy is now working just as hard to achieve excellent grades at school, alongside training towards her 2nd Dan examination.
