🥶🔋 WINTER IS COMING — LOOK AFTER YOUR E-BIKE BATTERY

Cold weather and e-bike batteries aren't the best of friends.

You may notice your normal range temporarily drop as temperatures fall — but a few simple habits can help keep your battery performing at its best throughout winter.

Our top winter tips:

🏠 Bring it inside�If your battery is removable, keep it somewhere dry at room temperature rather than leaving it in a freezing garage or shed.

🔌 Let it warm up before charging�If you've been riding in very cold weather, allow the battery to return to room temperature before plugging it in.

🔋 Not riding for a while? Don't leave it flat�For longer-term storage, Bosch recommends keeping the battery at around 30–60% charge.

❄️ Expect a little less range�Cold temperatures can temporarily reduce battery performance, so don't be surprised if your usual ride uses a little more battery during winter.

💧 Keep everything clean and dry�Winter roads mean water, grit and salt. Keep the battery area and electrical contacts clean and never pressure-wash your e-bike.
