New accessible pool lifts have arrived at our Pool! 🏊🏽‍♀️ 🌊

Now available at South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre, our new state-of-the-art pool pod makes getting into the water easier than ever for wheelchair users and people with additional accessibility needs.

The lifts can be operated by either the user or a member of staff, offering greater independence and confidence when accessing the pool. There's even space for a companion to join you during the transfer if needed.

The centre also has a submersible wheelchair available to use with the pods, along with a range of accessible changing facilities. ♿

Why not come and give them a try? Our friendly pool team will be happy to show you how they work and help you get started on your swimming journey.

Last week marked the end of our eight-week Club Links Programme at South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre.

It’s been fantastic to see so many children take part, build their confidence, develop their swimming skills and experience a club-style swimming environment. Most importantly, they’ve had lots of fun along the way.

To celebrate the final week, children took part in our Club Links Gala, giving them the opportunity to put everything they’ve learned over the past eight weeks into practice.

A huge thank you to our swim teachers, lifeguards and centre staff whose hard work and dedication helped make the programme such a success.

If you've been thinking about swimming lessons for your child, now's a great time to get started. Our Ducklings and Discovery Ducklings programmes help little ones build confidence in the water while having plenty of fun along the way.

Whether they're taking their first splash or growing their swimming skills, we're here to support them every step of the way.
