🔥 We are on home soil for the third time this month 🔥

This weekend, we welcome Drayton First to New Road for our fifth game of the season.

Woodstock Town Reserves are determined to keep building on from last week's performance.

Woodstock Town Reserves knows it isn't going to be easy as we face another team new to the league, we are ready to give our all for the full 90 minutes leaving everything on the pitch.

As we approach our last game of this month Saturday, here are our October Fixtures.

We have a busy month ahead as we start our Clarendon Cup Campaign and three League Games.

🏆 Man Of The Match 🏆

Our Forge Garage Man of the Match for Saturdays game goes to Danilo Rocha 👏

Danilo gave absolute everything on Saturday for the full 90 minutes, he reads the game very well and he played a big part controlling the midfield as he helped defensively and attacking being very strong and winning all his 50/50 battle.

To top off a great performance he got on the score sheet with a good goal.

A Massive well done Danilo, keep up the brilliant work👏

Woodstock Town Reserves 3-1 Glory Farm

Yesterday, we got back to winning ways against a team that's new to the league and we didn't know anything about.

First half Woodstock started very strong with a great positive attitude, both teams were moving the ball around very well but Woodstock settled into the game quite quickly applying a lot of pressure.
Woodstock had taken the lead within 15 minutes from a well taken strike from outside the box from Caio making it 1-0.

We did not let off the pressure and carried on trying to extend our lead, controlling the game very well in the midfield, winning our 50/50 battles. Glory Farm also had a few attacks but Woodstock managed to recover very well. We found ourselves on the attack again after some very good play putting Danilo through on goal to slot it round the keeper making it 2-0.

Glory Farm started applying some pressure just before half time, they were moving the ball around very well but a cross onto the edge of the box which Woodstock made a silly mistake giving them the chance to be through on goal making it 2-1.

Second half whistle blew and the game was very scrappy with a lot of stop start, Woodstock knew to stick to our game plan and carried on playing some good football. Glory farm applied a lot more pressure putting us on the back foot which, we adapted too very well as they had the wind against them, Woodstock settled into the second half and started moving the ball around creating chances.
With about 20 minutes left Woodstock played some good football where Lucas put Eduardo through on goal to extend our lead to 3-1.

We kept possession and moved the ball as they were still pushing forward, final whistle blew with Woodstock taking all three points.

We wish Glory Farm FC all the best for the rest of the season🤝

Woodstock Town Reserve knows it isn't going to be an easy as we welcome new comers to the league. Woodstock knows they need to give 110% for the full 90 minutes.

📣 Our Leadership Group 📣

A few changes have happened for this season alongside our Team leadership.

Captain - Caio Jucius
Caio had shown great team leadership and encouragement coming to end of last season and pre season and stepped up to lead the squad week in week out, he has great discipline and bringing great attitude into the team. Caio has a lot of passion and wants nothing but the best for the team to achieve our goals this season.

Vice Captain - Danylo Silva
Danylo is going to be one of two Vice captains this season, Danylo is one of the youngest in the squad but is very vocal and will make sure the standards are kept to the level that is required every week.
Danylo is also a vital part in the squad and will help supporting our new captain this season.

Vice Captain - Chebbron Cargill
Chebbron will share Vice Captain duties this season, he has been around the squad for many seasons, bringing great football knowledge and experience leading on and off the pitch. Chebbron is very well respected by everyone and brings great energy, passion, winning mentality and encouragement to the squad to help assist our New Captain and help Danylo grow as Vice captain.

🏆 Man Of The Match 🏆

Our Forge Garage Man of the match for Saturdays game goes to....

Monir gave 110% work rate on Saturday for the full 90minutes leaving absolutely everything on the field he needed. He did not stop running the full game and was constantly helping out in attacks but also defending, winning every 50/50 battle, constant talking and reading the game very well.

Woodstock Town Reserves 3-3 Launton Sports Reserves

Yesterday we shared points with Launton after being 3-1 up, the second half wasn't our best having to dig deep.

First half we started very strong with a good positive attitude, moving the ball around very well using full width of the pitch. Woodstock was applying pressure and within the first 10 minutes managed to make it 1-0 from a great cross into the box by Caio that found Daniel to head it the back of the net.

Woodstock settled well into the game and kept playing some good football and constantly applying pressure trying to extend our lead even more, Launton never let off the pressure either, putting Woodstock on the back foot quite a few times but we managed to deal with it well.

Woodstock had a corner and managed to extend their lead by a excellent delivery that found Danylo who out beat his man in the air heading the ball in the back of the net, making it 2-0 Woodstock.

Shortly before half time Woodstock gave a silly foul on the edge of the box awarding Launton a free kick, Launton managed to score the rebound from it making it 2-1.

Second half whistle blew and we came out slow, getting put under pressure straight away from Launton. Getting too complacent and sloppy, not keeping possession much, but we managed to hold off and defend very well. Around the 70 minute mark, Lucas had taken it around 3 or 4 players in the box followed by a well taken finish making it 3-1.

Woodstock fell asleep abit for the last 15 minutes and was on the back foot of constant pressure from Launton even more as they just kept launching long balls into the box, Launton managed to score two more goals from long balls to make it 3-3.

We wish Launton all the best for rest of the season🤝
