Congratulations Laura, she was closely followed by Megan Young who scored a brace in the match and yesterday’s win has seen us earn an away draw at Bridgewater Town in the next round.

Women’s FA Cup third qualifying round draw: Bassett to visit Bridgwater

An extremely tough test away against tier four Bridgwater United WFC stands between Royal Wootton Bassett Town and a place in the first round proper of the Women’s FA Cup

The tie is scheduled to take place on Sunday 4 October, 2pm kick off. Final match arrangements will be communicated in due course

A Megan Young double sees Bassett through

She put Bassett ahead with the game’s first shot on ten minutes

Holly Myatt equalised for the visitors shortly after the restart

But Young scored her second with 15 minutes to go to send Bassett through to the third qualifying round for the fifth year running
