FIXED MINDSET VS. GROWTH

Have you ever felt like your body wasn’t built for sports? Maybe you think you’re too thin, too heavy, too small, too weak? Maybe you compare yourself with your peers and think that you’ll never be as fit, fast, or good as they are? This way of thinking is called a fixed mindset.

People with a fixed mindset:

🔵 Believe that intelligence and talent are fixed traits that cannot be changed
🔵 Consider effort something negative
🔵 Avoid challenges
🔵 Get discouraged by setbacks
🔵 Can’t deal with negative feedback
🔵 See successful athletes as competition

This way of thinking makes it difficult, if not impossible, to get motivated to exercise and reach your fitness goals. One thing that can help in this situation is adopting a GROWTH MINDSET. People with a growth mindset believe that talents can be developed with hard work.
They embrace challenges and welcome feedback so they can learn from it, and they view failure as an opportunity. They don’t see other people as the competition; instead, they get inspired by their achievements. Studies have shown that a growth mindset improves self-efficacy – the confidence in your ability to handle situations – as well as self esteem. It also increases exercising frequency, which, in turn, motivates you to continue working out.

Hey everyone. I work with a lot of people who have children of a certain age. I am hearing A-LOT of them commenting on Va**ng.

Let's shed light on an important topic that needs our attention: the negative side effects of va**ng.

🚫 Respiratory Health: Va**ng can harm your lungs and respiratory system. The aerosol produced by e-cigarettes contains harmful chemicals, including ni****ne, ultrafine particles, volatile organic compounds, and heavy metals.

🚫 Ni****ne Addiction: Many e-cigarettes and v**e juices contain ni****ne, a highly addictive substance. Ni****ne addiction can have various detrimental effects on your overall health, including increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and negatively impacting brain development, especially in adolescents.

🚫 Unknown Long-Term Effects: Va**ng is a relatively new phenomenon, and there is still limited research on its long-term effects. By va**ng, you're essentially gambling with your health and well-being.

🚫 Gateway to Traditional Smoking: Studies suggest that va**ng may serve as a gateway to traditional cigarette smoking, especially for young individuals.

An outstanding 6 weeks for Ali!

What can I say about this fantastic lady? She always works hard, gives it everything, has lovely trainers and most importantly does this with a smile on her face. Since joining POD training, she has achieved incredible results. Within 6 weeks of hard work, healthy eating, accountability and hitting those steps she has lost an amazing 15lbs! You should be so proud of yourself, I know we are. Let’s work towards your next goal! Well done
