Gorgeous gong bath this evening with the incredible Antony Blakemore at Elmslie House in Malvern.
Focusing on balancing the root chakra to assist us all amongst the chaos of the present day to feel more grounded.
Midway through I found myself unconsciously opening my arms wide, hands open and fingers spread wide - it felt so liberating! As if I was openly sharing and receiving the energy of the world around me, feeling at peace, feeling content. As I came round at the end I felt amazing.
Was fabulous to share the room with so many people trying a gong bath for the first time. Taking that step to be open to something new, trying something different. Amazing!

Itโs official! Spring has sprung!!! ๐บโ๏ธ๐ท๐ป๐ธ๐ผ
I personally love spring! The longer days, the warmer air, the bright colours and of course, the beautiful sunshine โ๏ธ
I struggle with my energy levels through autumn ๐and winter โ๏ธ which I know a lot of us do. By the end of winter I find it really hard to beat that sluggish feeling. I find it difficult to focus and find drive.
As much as I skip into spring, I fully acknowledge the effect the darker months have and know this is where the work on myself is needed.
That saidโฆ.. the sun is out!! โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธWoo hoo!!
Happy Spring time everyone! Make the most of the beautiful light we are blessed with. Get outdoors, be inspired by the beautiful world around you, and most of all, smile ๐

When I was a kid this pose was called Crab. Playtime used to be spent walking up and down walls with our hands coming down into Crab and back up again. Kicking our feet up to flip over. Having fun without realising how incredible our bodies are!
In the Yoga world this is referred to as Wheel and is practiced as an intense backbend pose.
So many benefits come from this pose; an energy boost as it opens your chest and lungs, strengthens your shoulders, stretches your hip flexors, a great inversion stimulating blood flow to your brain slowing your heart rate and decreasing blood pressure. It also encourages you to open your body which releases emotional tension your body can keep pent up.
As kids we did this for fun without even knowing these benefits. We did it because it felt good! So why did we stop? As a kid we act on instincts and as we grow we do indeed gain wisdom but sometimes sacrifice that instinct we were born with.
For 5 minutes today I challenge you to play at something you used to do as a kid and ask yourself โwhy did I stop?โ It might just be good for youโฆ.

This week I have been lucky enough to have travelled to Austria for my first ever ski holiday! Wow, what an experience! Incredible views, clean fresh air, and the opportunity to stop and be present surrounded by the natural beauty of the Alps.
I had 3 days of lessons as I am a complete beginner and was struck immediately by so many links between the art of skiing and the wonder of yoga, the main similarity being the importance of feeling. Feeling the snow and the slopes with your skis, the art of trusting your instinct, feeling for that true north alignment and the pleasure of being present in any given moment.
