Photos from the recent Martial Arts exhibition in the Museum aan de Strom in Antwerp, the photos were taken by Chris Swan one of the club's students:

"... The local club is a Wushu Kung Fu club so I recognise that their style and weapons are quite different.

The computer showed the stance that you should copy, and then highlighted where an arm or leg was in the wrong place - I think we could use that!

The wooden dummy was mostly being used by kids, copying the video which was playing next to it. It looked slightly different to our version. There were punch bags next to it, hence the noise!

The Indian martial art was interesting as they believe that this is one of the oldest and has all of the spiritual elements seen in other martial arts. Only practised by men though.

There was an exhibition on women in martial arts, and an area to watch video clips from a huge range of martial arts films, or films that feature them, over the years. As this was in Belgium , of course Jean Claude van Damme featured in a few, as well as a lot of Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh etc..."

On the 10th March 2026

Two senior students of the B.W.C.K.A, Jeremy Nicklin Black Sash Level one, and Rhys Watkins Green sash Level four conducted a taster session in Wing chun Kung Fu for the Hall Family TaeKwon-Do & Self Defence club in Worcester.

The course was well received with every one enjoying themselves and learning a little of what Wing Chun is all about.

Its nice to forge links with other clubs and styles and shows unity and respect for each others Martial Arts.

Well Done to my senior students for promoting the club and wing chun and for their hard work and high standard.

Congratulations go to Scarlett Watkins who has just passed her Taekwondo Black Belt aged 10 years old. This is a fantastic achievement for anyone, let alone a 10 year old.

Her proud dad Rhys is one of my senior students and we're both hoping that when she gets a bit older she shows an interest in learning Wing Chun.
