Good morning fishing people. Happy new fishing season from Eastfield Fisheries.
We’ve been open now since the 1st of April and our regulars are pleased we’re open again following the 6 month close down.
The fish have had a good rest and are eager to do their bit.
Margins have been cleared and pegs renewed if necessary
My old friend Ed Brown from Furnace Mill Fishery has supplied some new fish for the 2026 season.
So, I look forward to seeing old faces and obviously, new faces too, kitchen is stocked and my famous hot butties are being enjoyed, come and try them for yourself
Prices remain unchanged from last year.
Thanks everyone for your support.

Hi fishing people
An update on the carp virus KHV Google it and have a read.
I’ve been on the banks most of the day either ensuring net and landing pads being dipped, checking for barbed hooks and ensuring the maximum hook size of 12.
Been a busy day with quite a few families and junior anglers
Also cooked food and hot drinks delivered to the pegs so you could call it fast food 🤣 Deliverwhome.
Enjoy your fishing and keep reading my posts

Hi fishing people Melv here.
Yesterday I was made aware that some venues have a Carp virus so with that in mind and to reenforce our rules PLEASE DIP YOUR LANDING NETS AND LANDING PADS in the tanks provided.
I’ve done my bit now you do yours.

Also whilst I’m on one, look at some of the hooks we are still finding either being used or left behind.

To reenforce our rules no 12 barbless is maximum hook size allowed, and landing mats must be used.

I’ve been fairly laid back these last couple of years but hard work and a large investment in new stock will bring me onto the banks.

If you don’t dip your equipment you WILL be asked to leave, no refund and don’t bother coming back.

My fish are in pristine condition, keep it that way please.

Thank you for visiting my page and especially thank you for visiting Eastfield fisheries these last few months.
Melv.

Hi fishing people, I hope everyone is in good spirits.
A catch up on things here at Eastfield fisheries.
Another successful visit from the food standards agency, awarded a 5 rating again, and renewed my training certificates.

A reminder of our rules and just to reinforce the rules.
Barbless hooks absolutely not allowed.
Without exception landing mats must be brought and used.
Dip landing nets.
Hook size 12 maximum
No bread or floating baits
Any problems with the above rules don’t bother coming, you will be told to leave.

Hi fishing people today is Friday 7th March 2025.
Happy New Year to all our customers old and new who support our venue here at Eastfield Fisheries, thank you for all your support.

We open for the 2025 season on April 1st at 7.30am.
Prices for fishing, food and drinks (Well everything really)remain at last year’s prices so that’s one bit of good news in this world of ever increasing prices!

Another morsel of good news is we have restocked the lakes, 450 fish in both Malvern and Bredon lakes fish supplied by Ed Brown Furnace Mill.
Species include F1’s, Carp and Tench all up to and including 10” (that’s inches for metric people).

13 pegs have been renewed, Bredon lake island has been cleared and the decking has been jet washed prior to opening so this year the work and noise won’t be a problem.

So I’ll be here on April 1st sausage and bacon will be cooking and the kettle will be boiled,
We’ve got a new stock of Screttin pellets being delivered prior to opening.
I’ll look forward to seeing you all soon
Best wishes.

Hi fishing people Eastfield fisheries here.
Just a note for your diaries that we will be closing on 30th September2024 and reopening after the winter on 1st April 2025.

We’ve had a marvellous year, well supported, thanks to everyone who has supported us.
Prices have remained at last year’s prices and it’s not our intention to raise prices for next season.

The kitchen has been delivering lovely hot sandwiches and hot drinks to the pegs.
Some fantastic specimens of all our stock fish have been showing with many of this years babies growing into nice fish.

So 1 month left,

I’m off on holiday from 8th of September 2024 and Malcolm will be opening at 7.30am and closing at dusk, or before if no one is here. For the month.
He will be in charge and his decision is final when it comes to hook sizes, baits etc.
No hot food will be available from this Sunday, sorry.

So that leaves me to say thank you for your support throughout this season, have a great Christmas and happy new year.
