Can you Dance 26!!
Today’s the day for our amazing dancers to perform in the arena at Worcester University on the biggest stage they have performed on. They’ve worked so hard & I hope today they have an amazing experience.

2026…
and somehow the music feels a little different now.

I can still see her
tiny shoes, messy bun,
spinning in the living room like the world was her stage.

We thought we were just signing up for dance.
A class.
Something fun.

We didn’t know it would become
car rides, quick changes,
bobby pins everywhere,
late nights, early mornings,
and a second family we didn’t see coming.

We didn’t know it would become
her safe place
and somehow, mine too.

Now the costumes fit differently.
The stages are bigger.
The routines more serious.

And the moments
they feel heavier.

Because somewhere along the way,
the recitals turned into “lasts.”

Last competitions.
Last team photos.
Last time watching her walk backstage
before the music starts.

I’m so proud of the dancer she’s become
but part of me is still holding onto
that little girl
who just wanted to spin and twirl.

Time didn’t just pass
it flew.

Faster than this dance mom
was ever prepared for.

And I’d sit through every rehearsal,
fix every bun,
and watch every performance again
if I could.

Because all those little moments…
they weren’t little at all.

They were everything. 💚

You think it’s just dance.

Just a class.
Just a phase.
Just something to burn off energy after school.

You sit at that first practice
scrolling your phone
half watching
thinking this is just one more thing to try.

But then

You notice the way she watches the teacher.
The way she keeps going
even when she gets it wrong.
The way her eyes light up
when she finally gets it right.

And something shifts.

Suddenly it’s not just dance anymore.

It’s the nights you’re rushing out the door
with bobby pins in your mouth
and tights in your purse.

It’s the early mornings.
The long rehearsals.
The money, the time, the sacrifice
no one else quite understands.

It’s watching her doubt herself…
and then watching her push through anyway.

It’s sitting in the audience,
heart pounding,
hands shaking

because somehow
her courage feels like yours too.

And then one day

She walks on that stage
not as the little girl you signed up

but as someone stronger,
braver,
more confident
than you ever imagined.

And you realize

You didn’t just sign her up for dance.

You signed her up
to find herself.

And somewhere in the middle of it all…

you found your people.
Your community.
Your village of moms
who sat beside you,
cried beside you,
cheered just as loud.

You came for a class

but you stayed
for the girl she’s becoming
and the life it built around you.

And if you could go back
to that very first practice

you’d still say yes
every single time. 💗

Classes start back today and we’re ready for all the laughs, hard work and dance friendships.

Summer Term starts April 11th, dancing into summer time.

What a busy and brilliant Spring Term it’s been!

From the show to a packed few weeks of competitions, all alongside school commitments, our dancers have worked so hard and we’re incredibly proud of them all.
Now it’s time for a well-earned break and a bit of downtime.

Classes return on 11th April and we’re looking forward to another exciting term ahead, with competitions, awards and exams coming up over the summer.

This young lady is going to be a triple threat, she has a very bright future & I’m very impressed with her performances.
