Come and fish our two spring fed lakes here at Broad Oak. Fly fish for rainbow and brown trout in a fabulous location Broad Oak Trout Lakes.
Come fly fishing for rainbows, blues, brown and tiger trout. Tuition available for beginners. Hire your tackle here if you are holidaying in the area and fancy casting a fly. Our on-site tackle shop has everything you will need for a good days fishing, and more! Refreshments can be purchased from the fishing lodge, or bring your own. It's still very frozen out there. Only -2C last night so making progress towards defrost mode!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We will be CLOSED 24th, 25th, 26th December 2025, and 1st January 2026.
Otherwise OPEN.
OPEN!!!
The fishery is now open again, usual hours Tuesday to Sunday gate open at 8am.
So far its fishing well, fresh fish in and all tickedy-boo.

We plan to open on 1st October when the lakes will be in good heart (unless we have yet another heat wave) and full of trout.
Many thanks for your patience.
Fishery closed due to high water temps and low water levels.
I am sure this is no surprise to many of you.
We will review the situation at the end of August.

Some great rising fish can be found before the heat of the day sends them down to the bottom of the lakes. Come and find out.

I probably missed them, but there were ripple rings where fish were rising near the island. What a gorgeous morning.
