A great Sunday tournament at Redditch Borough Football Club. The Worcestershire Ability Counts League hosted and we played through the showers and sunshine, supported by the friendly crowd.

The MNC teams had wins and loses, but as always, football was the winner ⚽️

Thanks to Coach Rich and driver (and assistant coach) Mark for getting us there and back.

We have decided to cancel football training this evening because of extreme wet and cold weather.
Playing conditions are dangerous.

Saturday’s match report from Coach Rich:

Monday Night Club FC Triumphs at Evesham United Ability Counts Tournament ⚽️
Evesham, 14th June – The Monday Night Club Football Club (MNC FC) delivered a commanding performance at the Evesham United Football Club Ability Counts tournament, securing a well-deserved championship title after a day of thrilling football.
MNC FC took to the pitch with determination, playing seven hard-fought games and emerging victorious in five: defeating Leek CSOB AFC (2-0), Shammy Ability 1 (4-0), Bourne Valley Wanderers DFC (7-0), Shammy Ability 2 (2-0), and Sileby United (2-0). Their only setbacks were two well-contested draws against EUFC Vultures (1-1) and AFC Bromsgrove Ability Counts (1-1). Their exceptional form saw them finish at the top of the table, edging out Evesham United Vultures.
With an astonishing 21 goals scored, MNC FC were the tournament’s top-scoring team, showing off both their attacking prowess and solid team play. Star striker Sean Danks led the charge, netting 11 goals, while Cameron Owens (5), Lewis Simmons (3), and Matty Beck (2) also contributed crucial finishes.
The stage was set for an electrifying final showdown against Evesham United Vultures. Rising to the occasion, MNC FC clinched the title with a decisive 2-0 victory, affirming their dominance throughout the tournament.
Beyond their on-field success, the team earned widespread praise for their discipline, professionalism, and sportsmanship. Opposition coaches commended their exemplary conduct, with one club even expressing interest in arranging a friendly match in the future.
A truly memorable day for MNC FC—showcasing skill, teamwork, and the spirit of the game in spectacular fashion. Champions in every sense! 🏆⚽
