🧊 ICE BATHS: Recovery Tool or Progress Killer? 🧊
Ice baths can speed up recovery, but timing is everything. 🕒
✅ Use them when:
You need to reduce soreness quickly between back-to-back games, competitions, or intense training sessions.
You’re in a high-volume training phase and recovery is prioritized over long-term gains. Or on days off.
⚠️ Avoid them right after:
Strength training or hypertrophy sessions where muscle adaptation is the goal.
Workouts focused on building endurance or power.
💡 Cold exposure can blunt inflammation, which sounds good, but inflammation is part of how your body adapts and grows stronger.
🧠 Train smart: Use ice baths strategically, not automatically.

Sore feet? 🦶
Many of us have lost our control and function of our feet for reasons such as years of wearing narrow shoes, shoes with really padded soles and reduced time standing.
You should be able to spread all of your toes apart on both feet (toe splay) Sounds easy right? Give it a go now, then comment and let me know how you got on 👀!!
Improving our foot function can also reduce common running injuries such as:
🐾 Plantar Fasciitis
👣 Shin Splints
🥾 Ankle Sprains.
Want to improve your foot function? Here are a few things to try 👇🏼
** generic exercises not based upon a specific assessment of your biomechanics **
👉🏼 Toe Splays- practice spreading apart your toes.
👉🏼 Piano Toes- Big toe pressed into the floor and lift toes, then switch. Increase the speed in which you can do this.
👉🏼 Midfoot Banded Side Step- a band around the middle of your feet, step one foot out to the side and bring back maintaining an arch in your standing foot and tension on the band.
🙌🏼 Manual Therapy such as massage and joint mobilisations can also really help to mobilise your feet and reduce tension to help complete exercises.

Isn’t the news of Worcester Warriors returning so exciting!!? 💙💛⚔️
Working in professional sport taught me a lot, fast paced environments, top-level athletes, and pressure to get people back on the pitch or out to training quickly and safely.
But here’s the thing, those same skills are exactly what help me treat everyday people even better.
Whether you’re dealing with a gym issue, sitting at a desk too long, or just want to move better- I bring that same level of care, precision, and performance mindset to you.
You don’t have to be a pro to be treated like one.
