One month’s worth of lunches prepped in a couple of hours. This little lot will be roasted with some spices. I’ll add a load of beans and freeze them. Each day I will reheat a portion and add some more protein, depending how I feel on the day. Lovely with a bit of brown sauce! Easier, tastier, prettier and much more satisfying than a boring sandwich!

You don’t have to go to a gym if you don’t want to! I love my weekly date with Natural Fitness.Health! It’s hard work, but you don’t really notice it when you are out in the woods, having a laugh!

As someone who does not feel at home in a gym, the thought of exercise can bring fear and dread. But there are lots of other ways to keep your body strong. And some are them are fun and rewarding in lots of other ways. Physical activity is particularly important for healthy aging, and for those using weight loss injections. If this is something you would like to discuss further, please feel free to message me to book a complimentary call.

Nudging at the edges of my comfort zone. Today I went for a walk between the rain showers during my first solo camping trip. I feel like Sir Edmund Hillary!

I am one of the most unlikely people to have ever become a registered health coach. For the first three decades of my life, I had absolutely no interest whatsoever in health, fitness, nutrition or mental wellbeing, but here I am! Having spent the last decade and a half supporting others in these areas, I am very proud to be accepted by the UKIHCA as a Registered Health Coach. 💪

I can’t believe it is ten years since I managed to be invited to the late queen’s garden party and ate the best little sandwiches on earth!

Starting out can be so overwhelming when you want to create healthier habits. There are many reasons why we wait for the right time, when we have time to focus, plan and prepare properly.
You could wait for the kids to go back to school, or until all the Easter eggs are finished, for Mercury to come back into retrograde, or whatever else is getting in the way, or you could make one small step.
My favourite way to change eating habits, is to start with breakfast. Ditching the toast and cereal and starting the day with a high protein breakfast keeps the morning munchies at bay. Don't worry about the rest of the day, week, month or year.
How about ten minutes outside in the sunshine, or listening to some music? What is the first small step you could take today?

Today I will be honouring my maternal line as a celebration of International Women’s Day! I will do this in a way they would have wanted - by gardening and drinking tea! Here’s to the women who raised us!
