One of our alumni who graduated from the club in 2020, Sarah, has competed in Henley Womens and Henley Royal over the past few weeks. Sarah competed in the Wargrave Challenge Cup for womens club 8’s. Her and her crew got to the final but unfortunately lost placing them 2nd. Sarah has achieved big things since leaving UWRC. We are so proud of you Sarah!🔵

On Saturday we attended Worcester Rowing Clubs regatta. It’s our first race since BUCS regatta, unfortunately we didn’t snag any wins but it was lovely to get back out in our crews. Roll on next year🔵

It's time to announce who the nominations are for April's Club of the Month!
And the nominations are...
⚽️ Men's football - They've been nominated for their great turn out for their annual interhouse tournament. Playing five matches between all members and raising money student minds. UoWMF have also had a great turnout to their presentation night on Wednesday celebrating their most recent success of their final BUCS match of the year with their men’s 3’s finishing at the top of the league.
🥊 Boxing - They have been nominated for their fantastic effort into prepping, planning and running the RAG Race. The RAG race took place at Lakeside and raised £250 for the chosen charity of the year. An unbelievable amount of commitment, design, and effort went into the event and we could not be prouder of this club.
🚣♂️ Rowing - They've been nominated for their successful weekend at BUCS Regatta in Nottingham recently. They have really had a year full of challenges and changes but have stepped up to the plate every time. From their fantastic social media to their placing in the men’s beginners and women’s intermediate, they have really been an exemplary club.

What a year it’s been with this lot!
Lots of uncertainty and obstacles but unlimited amounts of fun and hard work. We’re looking forward to next year with plenty of new ideas, more competitions and a whole new group of people!🔵
