Worksop Boys & Girls Junior Football Club

U13 Lions attended the Hoyland tournament.

With a few missing and an injured goalkeeper they played in typical Lions fashion getting through the group stages conceding 1 goal and with 5 wins in 5.

A straight forward semi final meant another showdown with a strong Athersley team that they narrowly beat in the groups.

Unfortunately a fantastic header split the teams and a 1 nil defeat was enough to mean the Lions took runner up spot.

This team worked so hard today fielding 4 different goalkeepers who all put their hand up and were fantastic. We go again on the hunt for more silverware soon

We’re looking to add a few committed players to our U17 squad for the upcoming season.

✅ Mid-level team with a great, welcoming group of players

The boys enjoyed a nice well earned presentation at SLICK CITY 👏 great day out for them all and proud to be part of Worksop boys 👍 great set of lads and parents and looking forward to next season 💪

Another great run out for the kids, against a more even opponent with a couple of our players missing. Delighted with the amount of touches and game play from our players today. A couple of first ever goals today, from BD5 and OL10. Some brilliant performances again. Heading towards our first ever tournament appearance next weekend. PotM could have gone to any today, but OL10s ball play and confidence grew as the game went on. Massively proud of all! Mitch and Alex.
