Great win by Arena team against a good Rainworth squad. Round one Sherwood Shield .

Well done to the Arena team through to the regionals at Lowestoft and commiserations to Team 2 who performed well but just fell short.

Many thanks to Leicester petanque club for a very competitive Euro cup comp. Kind of you to host us.

Arena celebrated Bastille day with a lunch and a mini competition which was won by Mick, Debbie and Ken.

Well done to the team who were knocked out of the Eurocup at Bury st Edmonds last weekend. Really good and classy opposition.

After a difficult day the Arena team are standing 6th out of 15 teams in the Regional qualifiers at Nottingham.Well done Mike,June,Jenny and John.

Congratulations to Mike and John (together with Peter Seyfang) winners of the consulage playback final at the national veterans competition in Leicester.

Congratulations to the team from Arena winners of the Mercia region champion of champions competition today. Now go forward to the National finals.

Latest news: with a win over Chesterfield Pétanque club Arena are now in the last 16 teams in the country in the Eurocup competition. The winners represent England in Europe.

**STOLEN**
Sometime this morning our Iseki tractor (similar to photo) was stolen from our plant centre. Must’ve been driven up or down the road to be loaded somewhere quieter.... presumably.
2011 plate, Compact Iseki tractor with hydraulics and mid mounted grass cutter deck all in royal blue. Complete with large steel tractor tow chain on the footplate.

Well done Arena once again we have won the Sherwood shield after a very wet but competitive day. Also into the third round of the Eurocup after a win over York on Saturday.

Arena Petanque Club We are a recently relocated club based at the North Notts Arena in Worksop. Play is Wednesday afternoon from 1pm and Sunday afternoon 1pm in winter

Sunday saw the annual Victor Ludorum competition played at the Arena. 2 singles, two doubles, and two triples all drawn partners. A very close competition which went to the wire saw John Collins victorios closely followed by Lynn Collins in second. Well done to all who took place and thanks to Mike for organising.

Hi everyone looking forward to seeing you all on Friday 14 th July to celebrate our French evening at the Arena.
7/ pm drinks and nibbles followed by a buffet. ( menu sent previously) there will be wine available as well as soft drinks.
After the food we will be having a fun Petanque competition
£5 for members £10 for guests fancy dress optional.

Thank you to all our friends who attended our first anniversary party on Sunday. Great afternoon with many thanks to the arena staff for making the event so special.

Good luck to all our fellow Mercia team members as we enter the Inter Regional Competition at Hayling Island next Saturday. This will be our first visit as a new region and i am sure we will compete well.

Many thanks to Mansfield Petanque club for the close competition in the Euro Cup round one. Arena clinched the tie, but all games were close and well contested.

A 10am start saw the start of the secretary's cup comp for 2016. Drawn doubles for each round. After a hot and well contested day John Collins triumphed with George Horner a close second. Thanks to everyone who took part.
