SUMMER KNOCK-ABOUT CANCELLED TOMORROW ☀️

Due to the high temperatures forecast tomorrow, we have made the decision to cancel Summer Knock About Training.

The welfare of our members is our priority, and we feel it is best to avoid training in the expected heat.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch soon! 🏑

Summer 7’s over and out!

Our Tuesday team played their final game on Tuesday, and what a summer it has been!

Every single person has improved so much within such a short space of time, and it has been some brilliant hockey!

We’ve had pitch-side birthdays (dropping Curly caterpillars face….) , Vic & Nic causing havoc, and many laughs together!

Now it’s time for Summer 11’s and we couldn’t be more excited to join back up with the other half of the pink ladies!

Final Summer 7’s scores!

The final fight for Worksop A team resulted in a draw with Top of the league Trent Vale, and a win against second place Ilkeston!

Both two incredibly tough games, and Worksop played their absolute socks off right until the end against both!

I cannot be more proud of the team this evening, we have improved so much over the course of the 8 weeks, and had so so much fun!

Everyone gave tonight 200% & here’s a few points to sum it up!

- Ella’s super hits and impressive
- Rach D’s brilliant clearances
- Mills saved many goals, doing the splits on occasion!
- Vic’s sneaky between the legs move, catching them every time
- Nics Velcro marking and running miles up and down the pitch intercepting the ball
- Hannah being ready for those goals, striking them in whenever possible
- Liv’s teamwork, crossing it to where it needed to be for the goal

Last Tuesday Round Up!

Worksop Vs Aztecs: 0-1 loss

An unfortunate loss against Aztecs, Worksop battled hard and had multiple shots but just couldn’t convert one.

Worksop Vs SBU: 1-1 win

An evenly matched game, where SBU and Worksop were end to end with the ball. SBU scored early on, with Ella then scoring the equaliser for Worksop!

Some lovely running with the ball and hastling their players for the ball, your confidence each week is growing so much!

Unfortunately 2 losses last week for our Thursday Team, but both games the pink ladies battled hard!

Everyone played their socks off, and put in a shift. Votes were very close last week, showing the teamwork between Worksop B team!

Last Tuesday Round Up!

Worksop Vs Trent Vale: 2-3 loss

Our Worksop A team faced top of the league - Trent Vale, in their first game. It was a tough battle with Worksop opening the scoring, with a lovely goal from Leah!
And the second goal came from a strike at goal bouncing off the oppositions stick!
Unfortunately though, a last minute goal from Trent secured their win

Worksop Vs West B. : 1-0 win

Worksop A battled hard, with Leah scoring her second goal of the evening! Lots of teamwork, passing and communication helped Worksop to fend off the opposition securing the win
