Butterfly Yoga

I had a lovely morning with the Reception children at Thomas A Becket Infant School. I was invited to run taster sessions with each of the 5 classes as part of their ‘Alive and Kicking’ topic.

Each class had a 30 minute session which was ‘Dear Zoo’ themed. There were lots of super animal yoga poses!

We also made the parachute into an animal trampoline and worked as a team to help the animals jump and somersault in the air!

We learned lion’s breath which can help us feel calm if we feel angry, frustrated or even overexcited!

Finally, we finished with some relaxation.

My aim for Butterfly Yoga at Home is to create a positive and supportive space where children can relax, express themselves freely and develop lifelong skills for wellbeing'.

Lovely ‘Under the Sea’ themed sessions at The Nursery School Storrington and at Thomas A'Becket Infant School after school club.

We read a story about a ‘Fidgety Fish’ who couldn’t keep still! Our yoga poses were; fish, limpet, jellyfish, starfish and crab 🦀

The parachute was used to make waves in the sea and we swam like fish beneath it.

🐭 Why not grab a Mouse Trail booklet & hunt for all the knitted mice (yes, Sheila's handy work strikes again!) as you follow their adventures for this celebration! There is a small fundraising cost for the booklet but it's lots of fun.

Please help me spread the word - this is a huge project Sheila & I have been working on for months to raise much needed funds for St. Richard's Church (our Goring venue) & we'd love it to be a HUGE success, lots of fun & a great Saturday for you all 😃
