Yesterday, our newly formed Sussex Raptors Junior Girls took part in the inaugural SBA Girls Development League tournament at BACA.

53 Girls from 7 teams participated in a hugely successful celebration of female talent.

Thank you to the organisers, the teams for supporting grassroots Girls basketball, the officials who gave their time to ref and table officiate, to the parents and families who came along to support and to the girls themselves for competing with grace, skill and style.

We look forward to supporting girls' grassroots development as part of the SBA Girls Development League at many more events in the future.

Sussex Raptors are proud to announce another new signing to our roster: Sienna Robertson.

Sienna is another debutant in the women’s league having previously played as a junior. She has strength, pace and power which means she can develop into an exciting offensive player.

We're looking forward to watching Sienna grow and expand her playing repertoire.

Raptors are proud to announce the signing of Nancy Davis; Nancy joins us for her debut season in the women’s league after cutting her teeth in the mixed junior league.

A quick, energetic guard with a lot of potential looking to take her game to the next level. We're excited to watch Nancy's confidence build and her game progress.

Our new look 2025-26 team travelled to our friends, Horsham Hawks, for a narrow loss in the Sussex League last night.

Raptors are proud to announce the return of Theia Abraham for another season with the Club.

Another young player with a lot of potential who has been working hard on her game and has height and strength that will be an asset to the team this year.

We look forward to Theia gaining more playing experience this season and continuing to develop her skills.

Last season's top scorer and Mike Spaid MVP Award winner returns for her 2nd season with the Raptors.

We are proud to welcome Amelia back for another season and have no doubt that her impressive skills at both ends of the court will help us achieve greater things. We are looking forward to many more points from our sharpshooter !

After a break from the sport, Ina contacted us during the summer and has been rediscovering her love of the game and shows great potential in adding her skills to our game.

We are proud to announce the signing of Christie Rourke.

Christie rejoins old teammates from the Sussex League in her first season as a Raptor, bringing a wealth of experience, including representing GB as part of the GB Maxibasketball programme in European competition.

Her leadership and scoring ability will be a valuable addition to the team, providing a great role model for our more junior players.

We are proud to announce the return of one of our highly talented juniors, Jess Tucknott, for the 2025-26 season.

Jess returns as Raptors' second top scorer from last season, bringing an offensive presence and defensive intensity that earned her the Players' Player award last season.

Sussex Raptors Ladies Basketball Club are welcoming new players to join them for their second season competing in the Sussex Local League.

Come and join a great group of girls and ladies to keep fit, make new friends and enjoy the support of qualified coaches and a Club that creates an inclusive environment for girls and ladies to flourish.
