🎭 What is Preschool Theatre Modern? 🎭

Preschool Theatre Modern introduces young children to the foundations of Modern Theatre dance in a fun, age-appropriate way. Children explore rhythm, posture, travelling steps, basic kicks, arm lines and simple co-ordination patterns through structured exercises designed especially for little bodies.

Using upbeat music, dancers develop musicality, strength, flexibility and performance confidence while enjoying lively movement and characterful expression.

🌸 What is Preschool Ballet? 🌸

Preschool Ballet is a magical first step into the world of dance for little movers aged 2–4. Through storytelling, music and imaginative play, children explore basic ballet movements, posture, coordination and musicality.

Think twirling flowers, tiptoeing fairies and dancing clouds — all while gently building confidence, listening skills and a love of movement.

🤸‍♀️ What is Preschool Acro? 🤸‍♀️

Preschool Acro is where dance meets playful gymnastics! Designed especially for younger children, this class introduces safe, age-appropriate skills such as balances, rolls, cartwheel preparation, jumps and simple strength activities.

Using mats for safety, music and imaginative themes, little ones develop coordination, body awareness and confidence — all while having lots of fun moving in new ways.

💫 Perfect for energetic preschoolers who love to explore what their bodies can do.

Saturday preschool classes at Hilary Thomas Dance are now combined. Our new combined Ballet, Modern and Acro classes start in January 2026. See you there!

Wow! We just received the best feedback from a Fairy Ballerina trial on Saturday mornings.

# # # was in tears because she could not attend ballet on Sunday - she loved it....
