11 minutes taken off her half marathon time 👏
Big shoutout to SPC member Kerry for shaving off an awesome 11 minutes from her half marathon personal best time 👊
She has been strength training with Coach in preparation for the London marathon in 4 weeks, which is essential for runners looking to break old records 👇
Injury prevention: Strengthening muscles and tendons helps to support joints and prevent overuse injuries common in running, such as IT band syndrome or shin splints.
Improved running economy: Stronger muscles can generate more power with each stride, leading to improved efficiency and faster race times.
Enhanced performance: Strength training can increase speed, power, and endurance, allowing runners to maintain pace over longer distances or sprint to the finish line.
Better posture and form: Strengthening core muscles and stabilizers can improve running posture, reducing the risk of injury and promoting a more efficient stride.
