A little introduction for those who don't know me. I'm Miss Fiona, the Director and Principal Teacher of Grace Dance.
I followed my sister to ballet classes, aged 3. Over the years, I took part in many professional productions alongside dance school shows, including the West End. After choosing to pursue university and various business and charity roles, I decided to complete a dance teaching qualification, and was lucky enough to teach for several excellent schools around Brighton and Sussex. Initially, I loved teaching advanced dancers.. but then the little ones elbowed their way into my heart! I now mostly teach our younger classes.
When I founded Grace Dance in 2013, it was to bring a non-competitive approach to dance classes in Worthing. This has definitely tapped into what many parents want, as we have grown from 3 classes to 41 each week (yes, that's right!) and a team of 7 teachers. I carefully select teachers who share our ethos, balancing a professional approach with delivering a positive experience of weekly dance classes for every child. We want it to be low pressure, without compromising a high standard of training.
I also deliver online training for dance teachers across the world, teaching them to create imaginative and engaging classes for preschoolers. 🧸
When I'm not teaching or at my laptop, (organising classes, shows, exams, messaging everyone involved with the school, improving what we do...) I'm probably walking my (very noisy but super pretty) dog, or dreaming of all things French and Italian (mostly the food). 🇫🇷🇮🇹
