A bowling club is about far more than what happens on the green.

Behind every fixture, competition, cup win and successful season are volunteers who quietly give their time to make it all possible.

From committee members and captains to greenkeepers, fundraisers, supporters and everyone who lends a hand, every contribution has helped shape Chirk AAAs Bowling Club into the welcoming club it is today.

The green doesn’t maintain itself, competitions don’t organise themselves, and the clubhouse doesn’t run itself. It’s the dedication of our volunteers—past and present—that keeps our club thriving.

To every person who has ever given up their time, skills and energy for Chirk AAAs Bowling Club… thank you. 💙

A closely fought match to Meole Brace at Home ended in a 5–5 draw, with Chirk A taking the aggregate 176–160 to secure a valuable 7–5 victory on points. 👏

Every point matters as the season heads towards its conclusion, and the team showed great determination to come away with another positive result.

The season is entering the final stretch, and every point matters.

🏆 Chirk AAA E are sitting 4th with a game in hand on several teams above them. A strong finish could see them pushing right up the table.

👏 Chirk AAA D have battled hard all season and will be looking to finish strongly over the final four matches.

Let’s get behind both teams as they give everything to the end of the season. Every game, every point, every end counts!

Every point is going to count from here on in, so let’s keep our feet on the ground, stay focused, and keep battling for every game.

A huge well done to all the players for their hard work and commitment so far. Let’s finish the season as strongly as we’ve started it.

Our A Team continue to lead the way at the top of Division 1 after a fantastic season so far. The job isn’t done yet, but they’re in a great position heading into the final seven matches.

Our B Team have had a tough season, but they’ll keep battling until the very end. Every game is another opportunity to pick up points and finish the season strongly.

💚 Green Keeper Appreciation Post

Behind every great bowling green is a team of dedicated volunteers who put in countless hours, often without anyone noticing.

A huge thank you to Dave & Mike for everything they do to keep the Chirk AAAs Bowling Club green in the best condition possible. From mowing, watering and feeding to slitting, repairing and general maintenance, their hard work and commitment make a real difference every single week.

We’d also like to thank Caffi Wylfa for their generous funding, which helped us purchase our SISIS Autocore this year. This fantastic machine is already helping us improve water pe*******on and keep our green healthy during the dry weather.

Volunteers and community support like this are what keep our club thriving.
