At Marford Karate Club, martial arts is not just about fighting and sweating … For us, it’s about character development and self-improvement. It’s about challenging our physical and mental boundaries, improving our balance and coordination, learning traditional karate techniques, increasing our self-confidence and finally becoming a better person through martial arts!
We focus on discipline, humility and respect along with fun martial arts training.
Children’s and family classes are held after school midweek (Wed at 19:00), where we teach basic techniques (kihon), karate forms (kata), and fun person-to-person sparring.
Adults’s classes are held midweek (Wed at 19:00), where we teach the same curriculum as the children but with added emphasis on self-defence and more “hands on” techniques.
On Sunday’s we hold a Karate Fitness class from 11:00 am to 12 midday. Then from midday until 1 pm we have an adults and children’s karate class.
Pop in to the Community Centre on Pant Lane and take a look! The first two lessons are free!
