Another week and another of our senior coaching team have completed the UEFA Grassroots Leaders Award. This time it’s our Under 15s coach Haden Powell. A long serving member of the club H always puts on challenging and innovative sessions for the lads, communicates well and was a major factor in last seasons title triumph, striking up a great partnership with manager Frank.
How he fits it all in with his busy schedule as a professional Kim Jong Un impersonator we will never know!!

Yesterday morning the club were given the opportunity to host members of the community of Bangor on Dee to a coffee morning at the village hall. A great opportunity to help fundraise but also to thank the village where we play our home games and who have welcomed the club with open arms since we relocated there four years ago!

Our new Under 15s Athletic team have been building up their pre season fitness with several friendlies over the past few weeks against Ruabon Rovers FC and Bellevue FC.
A few mixed results but it’s the minutes in the legs that count this time of the year!!

A great time had by our Under 8s at the Llay Miners Welfare FC tournament this morning. Only 2 goals conceded during open play for the whole tournament, drew in the group stages against the eventual winners and unlucky to lose the semi final. A great experience for the team in only the 2nd tournament! Onto the next one…

We are proud to be able to announce that our team manager at under 13 level, Dave Thomas, was last week awarded his UEFA Grassroots Leaders Award.
The FAWs level 2 qualification in Wales, enabling the growth of coaches working across grassroots and academy football whilst extending the knowledge of senior coaches working in Wales.
Dave is the first member of the coaching team to gain this award whilst with the club and will hopefully the first of many.
We believe at CPD Dinas Wrecsam in developing our volunteers to give our players the best chance to also develop in the game and as people!
Well done Dave and thanks for the time you give up for the club!!!
