🏏 THAT'S A WRAP ON THE SEASON! ❤️🖤

Yesterday saw our Senior Teams play their final games of the 2026 season, with both sides giving it everything right through to the final ball. 👏

🔴 1st XI Team

A tough one to finish the season as the 1st XI went down to Bangor Cricket Club / Clwb Criced Bangor.

Gwersyllt batted first and declared on 115/3, giving ourselves every opportunity to pick up the points needed in the battle to stay up.

There was a fantastic fighting knock from Jake James, who top-scored with a brilliant 61 to help put us in a competitive position. 👏🏏

Bangor eventually chased down the total, finishing on 118/4.

A huge effort from the lads, and credit to everyone for giving everything right to the end. ❤️

🔴 2nd XI Team

What a way to finish! 🔥

The 2nd XI secured an impressive 81-run victory over Corwen CC.

Gwersyllt posted 187 all out, before bowling Corwen out for just 106.

⭐ Tahsil led the way with the bat, smashing a superb 71 runs to help set up a fantastic victory! 👏🏏

Two final games, plenty of effort, some brilliant individual performances and a great way to bring the league season to a close.

A massive thank you to every player, captain, coach, volunteer, scorer, supporter and sponsor who has played their part throughout the season. ❤️🖤

Today marks the last league fixtures of the 2026 season for our senior teams, with both sides in action at 12:00pm! 💪

🏏 1st XI travel to Bangor Cricket Club / Clwb Criced Bangor
🏏 2nd XI are at home to Corwen CC

We would love to see as many of you as possible supporting the lads as they look to finish the season on a high! ❤️🏏

A mixed weekend for our senior sides, with both teams putting in some brilliant individual performances! 👏❤️🖤

🏏 1st XI
A tough afternoon away at Mochdre Cricket Club, with Gwersyllt Park finishing on 113 all out as Mochdre reached 174 all out, taking the win by 61 runs.

Despite the result, a fantastic individual performance from Neil Pearson, who picked up 5 wickets and takes this week’s 1st XI Player of the Match award! 👏🏏

🏏 2nd XI
A brilliant win for the 2nds at The Park! 💪

Gwersyllt Park were bowled out for 94, before restricting Carmel & District Cricket Club to 78 all out to secure a 16-run victory! 🙌❤️🖤

A superb all-round performance from Ben Griffiths sees him named 2nd XI Player of the Match, scoring 37 runs and taking 3 wickets! 👏🏏

🏏 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY CELEBRATING INCLUSIVE CRICKET! ❤️💙💚

Despite a slightly wet start to the day, our Disability Cricket Festival 2026 turned out to be a fantastic afternoon, bringing together players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters to celebrate cricket for all. 🏏

It was brilliant to see so many people enjoying the day, taking part and creating some fantastic memories both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the festival such a success, including all of the players, parents and families, coaches, volunteers and everyone who came along to support.

We were also incredibly grateful to welcome England player Sophie Ecclestone, along with support from Lindop Toyota and the ECB, helping us make the day even more special.

We are incredibly lucky as a club to be able to host days like these and are proud to continue creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy and be involved in the game we love. ❤️🏏
